Axe-L college canteen:
The canteen is noisy with all the student banter but it suddenly ceases as we hear the click of ladies' sandal heels indicating that a girl is walking into the canteen….. all the guys turn their heads towards direction in which the sound is coming from and look at the girl who is approaching the canteen open mouthed………turns out it is our very own Caro……………. She throws a knowing smile at the guys walking past them and is contemplating on choosing the table on which she wants to sit. Dodo bhaiyya comes forward to offer her a seat beside him on his table with a flower in his hand-
D: Mujhe pata nahin tha ki aaj chand zameen pe utarne waala hai warna main apne sabhi friends ko sms kar deta…..(shies)
C (in a sweet but sarcastic way): Accha? Chand zameen par aaya hai? Kahaan? (tries searching for moon and her eyes fall on this guy sitting alone on a corner table reading a book and drinking coffee) Ab samajh main aaya ki chand kahaan hai….(obviously referring to that guy)
D(goes on knees): Samajh main aa hi gaya toh please mera phool accept karke mere heart aur table pe mere paas waali seat ki vacancy fill kar do…(holding out the flower and looking away all shy)
C: Sure bhaiyya (takes the flower), main aapke saath zarror baithoongi lekin abhi nahi, phir kabhi…
D(the color on his face vanishes and we hear a glass breaking sound in the bg): Bhaiyya? (yells out aloud)
C(smiling): Of course, you remind me of my brother….
D(closing his ears): Bas bas, mere kaan yeh gaali aur nahin sun sakte, main yahaan se jaa raha hoon….(hurries away from there)
Caro walks up to the table where Mayank is sitting, waiting for him to look up at her but Mayank is too busy with his book to notice her. Tired of waiting , she clears her throat trying to grab his attention , Mayu smirks with his head still in his books but chooses to ignore her ;) … she clears her throat again, this time a bit louder yet no response from Mayu….a little frustrated at this guy's attitude, she taps on the table forcing him to look towards her.
C: Hi! I am Caro , kya main aapko company de sakti hoon?
M(flashing his sarcy grin): No thanks! Mujhe company pasand nahin hai……
C(surprised at his response): What? Are you sure? I mean itni beautiful girl tumhe company offer kar rahi hai aur tum refuse kar rahe ho?
M(grin intact): Haan! You heard me right.
C(pulls a chair and sits on his table adamantly): You know what? I really like your style, tum jaante ho ki tum HOT ho isliye itna attitude dikha rahe ho hai na? (winks)
M: Ab jaanti ho toh pooch kyun rahi ho?
C: Wow! Your sarcasm makes you too hot to handle, I can feel the heat already! Koi AC on karo please
M:Zaroor ON karenge bas tumhaari donate karne ki der hai…
Just then Chinu approaches their table
Ch: Madam aap college main nayi hain na?
C: Haan! Lekin tum kaise jaante ho?
Ch: Pehli baat, aapko canteen main pehli baar dekh raha hoon aur doosri baat aap ne Mayank ke table par baithne ki zurrat ki …
C(looks at Mayu): Lagta hai sab log yahaan aap se bahut darte hai..By the way, ice name Mayank!
M: Thank you, agar aap mujhe excuse karenge toh main apna kaam karna chahta hoon….
C(coolly): Who is stopping you? Tum apna kaam karo, main apna kama karti hoon….(rests her elbow on the table and chin on her palm looking at Mayu)
Mayank rolls his eyes and gets back to studying while Caro stares at him..
Ch(disturbing Caro): Madam agar aap apna order dengi toh main yahaan se jaaoonga
C: Mere liye ek coffee, thanks!
Caro keeps staring at Mayank making him a little uncomfortable.
M(flustered): Ab aisa dekhna band kar sakti ho? Aisa nahin hai mujhe iski aadat nahin hai lekin tum kuch zyaada kar rahi ho…
C: If you talk to me and give me company main dekhna band kar doongi…
M(murmurs to self): Isse better toh Nupur thi….god how I wish she were here
C: Dude! Kya murmur kar rahe ho? Take my offer or let me stare
M (stern): Do I have an option? Shoot! I will give you 5 minutes, after that I am gone from here and your time starts now (looks at his watch)
C: okay! So hottie…
M(cuts in before she continues): What? I know I am HOT but you don't have to be so vocal about that (looks around embarrassed) koi sunega toh kitna weird lagega..
C: Fine! MA…..YANK , are you single?
As M is about to answer her question, Chinu holds out a tray with a mug on it blocking Caro's view of Mayu and irritating her .
Ch: Aapki coffee…
C(looks angrily at Ch then forces a smile): Perfect!
Ch(shyly): Thanks, pee kar dekhiye aapko aur pasand aayega..
Mayank is enjoying every bit of it – especially Caro's animated expressions caused due to Chinu disturbance
C(takes the mug): Shukriya, main pee loongi
Ch is still standing there..
C: Ab kya hai mr…
Ch: Jee mera naam Chinu hai (blushing)
C: Chinu ji aapne coffee de diya aur maine coffee le liya, ab kya hai?
Ch: Coffee pee kar aap meri tareef jo karenge uske liye wait kar raha hoon
C(sips coffee): Umm, this is good
Ch: Thanks
A winning smile adorns Mayank's lips as he looks at his watch leaving Caro tensed because the time is running out and to add to her woes, Chinu is STILL standing there
C: Chinu jee, maine appko bataa diya ki coffee bahooooooooooot accha hai, ab aap yahaan kyun khade hai?
Ch: Ji who mujhe mug jaldi chahiye
Caro gulps down the coffee in one go to get rid of Cheenu as soon as possible! She hands the empty mug to him
C: Yeh leejiye aapka mug, thanks for the coffee
Ch: You are welcome (finally leaves from there)
C(looks at Mayank): Are you single? I am single and ready to mingle…
M(looks at his watch): Your time is up! Main jaa raha hoon bye…..(gets up and leaves)
A helpless Caro buries her head into her palms out of disconcert……..
