College romances are back

Star One brings Miley Jab Hum Tum, a show about college, friends and fun

College romances were a hit once upon a time. What with SRK playing Rahul and Akki singing Khud Ko Kya, the sweet sagas based in college had soon moved to television with shows like Hip Hip Hurray and the likes. But they soon faded out and were taken over by the Saas-Bahu drama.

Well, not any more. The college romances are all set to make a come back on the small screen with Miley Jab Hum Tum on Star One. The soap will be based in Excel College, apparently the hippest and most happening college in dream city Mumbai.

And that's not all, it involves the quintessential Bebo 'Pooh' Kapoor prototype Diya who's glamorous and full of attitude. There's also Annie, the sidekick of the diva who obviously idolises Diya.

But a romance needs men too. So there's the basketball champion (read hero) Samrat and stylish Mayank. They are of course the SRK-Hrithik prototypes. And voila! we have a sweet, young college romance saga.

Promising to be a good break from the family dramas which end up being mystery thrillers or worse, Miley Jab Hum Tum is all set to air on Star One from September 22, Monday to Thursday at 9 pm.
