Enough is enough: Vinta Nanda |
Sacked!
Vinta Nanda fires the entire crew of Miilee

Star's Miilee has been in trouble ever since the serial's crew members, supported by actor Kiran Kumar, began agitating against producer Vinta Nanda about backlog payments. Now Nanda, in her turn, has fired her entire production team.
"I knew that trouble was brewing for a while," says Nanda. "It all started when Kiran Kumar's track in the serial got over for a while. He became paranoid thinking that his role was over, even though that wasn't true. His insecurity got to him. Besides, I think a lot of crew members took a lot of things for granted. I can never tolerate my shoot being stalled for a couple of hours, just for the sake of agitating crew members. The new crew has resumed work already."
"I am still clueless about what transpired on the sets," she adds. "As for Kiran Kumar, he was never supposed to be out of the show and I am hurt by his behaviour since he is a friend of mine. It was unprofessional of him to behave the way he did, but I have no intention of giving him the pink slip. He will remain part of the show."
Nanda says that she is surprised by the accusations levelled against her. "We generally make payments 90 days after the telecast of an episode, this being the industry norm," she says. "The financial issues involving the crew members will be dealt with on February 7 for the month of November."
