Hi everyone ! I'm Anisa, and I used to regularly haunt the Qubool Hai forum until it went off air. Lost and flying in the wind I tested a few other serials but none of the chemistry magnetized me..
Until Meri Saasuma...
The Creatives have a gold mine here on their hands. Pearl V. Puri and Hiba Nawab are smoking HOT !
Not in a jump in bed type of sexual chemistry, but a beautifully sweet one.
Let's see..
Sattu is a sweetheart !
He's the youngest of 4 sons, brought up by a hard-as-nails Maa Sahab. He's the apple of her eye, and deservedly so. He is a constant reminder for his mother that there is also good in this world, other than cheaters, manipulators and lazy people (as those who surrounds her)..
She is calmed by him, more importantly she learns from him. His outlook on life often catches her off guard, bringing her back from her tendency to be a horrid meanie. He humanizes her, with logic.
Maa sahab is really Hard-as-nails, she seems to have been left in a bad state with three young sons; after which she pulled up her bootstraps and built up her company from scratch. She has had to be strong and independent , with only her mother-in-law (i think) as support.
But there is a softness that comes out once in a while. Be it a smile for her favourite Sattu, or her ready willingness to rationalize when logic is presented and give second chances.
One thing she is terrified of, is losing Sattu, or losing his worshipping adulation. He is her saving grace, her only happiness in a life filled with hardship.
But with that hardness, came arrogance. She is THE Maa Sahab, respected in the community, and no one dares go against her. She has the police in her pockets, but she isn't a villainous corrupt criminal.. (Apparently thats OKđ)
Then this super CUTE slip of a girl appears...
<OMG she's adorable ! A little too perky maybe, but she reminds me of Khushi from IPKKNDđł>
A Good Samaritan, Pari is still pursuing her studies, and she is not afraid of standing up to injustice. Unfortunately for her, her battle has landed her in a really bad panga.
Because her father almost died after consuming adulterated milk, she filed a police case against Dudhsaagar (Maa Sahab's company) , which set up a series of unfortunate vengeance plots that landed her in serious trouble.
In retaliation, Maa Sahab tried to marry her off to her manservant Mastana, so she could torture the poor girl for the rest of her days. But she was not aware of a cutesy little love story that had begun independently..
Sattu met Pari when she was looking for a part time job, and they kept bumping into each other as their attraction blossomed. <I mean who wouldn't get a crush on Sattu, he's ridiculously cute!>
Plots and counter plots later, Mastana ran away with his sweetheart, leaving a troubled Sattu to stand in in his stead, to save both Pari and his mother's honour. <I loved how devastated Maa Sahab was after the wedding. It's like she saw how her mean machinations were what brought on the turn of events... Fate nicely turned the tables on her...>
The best part is, She gave Pari a chance. She wasn't as mean to her, as she usually is with the Three Wicked Witches of the West, 3 Bahuriyaan... <ugh, how awful are this trio, Babita especially...>
But more schemes and manipulations followed and Pari is again in bad light. Poor baby. Having to fight her way through everything.
to be continued...
