&TV's show based on the concept of sibling rivalry, Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai turned out to be a game changer for the channel. The show picked up right from the second day and kept the audience engrossed ever since. Meri Awaaz marked Amrita Rao's television debut.
The show also boasted of big names likeDeepti Naval, Pallavi Joshi, Zarina Wahab and Eijaz Khan among others. And a show with such grandeur was bound to do well, especially when the producer of the show gave it her all.
For Nivedita Basu, Meri Awaaz has been her baby. And this can be felt by anyone who would mention Meri Awaaz to Nivedita. The adoration with which Nivedita speaks about her show is just proof of how important a part of Nivedita, the show is.
Says Nivedita, "Meri Awaaz was always a finite series. And the start cast of the show was also such that I could not extend the duration of the show. The best part about Meri Awaaz is that I did not receive any negative feedback from anyone. So I am not sad that it is going off-air. "
The producer went on to thank &TV for giving her this venture, "&TV has been very supportive throughout. I never deviated from my core concept - that of music. That is why the channel was happy and had faith in my work. I have always wanted to quality work."
Meri Awaaz will bid adieu to its audience on the 15th of July. And it will be a happy ending for the show with both the sisters Kalyani and Ketki patching up.
