Our way of healing
Ishani hummed to a song while making Ranveer 's favourite breakfast, omelette just the way Amba used to make for him. She felt Ranveer 's hands crawl up her waist and she smiled when she felt his lips touch her cheeks.
" Good morning , my beautiful wife " Ranveer whispered to his ears and started to shower kiss upon her neck which made her close her eyes and shiver by his touch which could give her a heart attack .
" Ranveer , please stop " Ishani whispered weakly and Ranveer stopped and twirled Ishani around and admired his wife 's happy smile and blush on her face. Not getting any response from Ranveer , Ishani opened her eyes and found two beautiful eyes look at her closely . It was his gaze full of so much love , that always made her weak and it felt good to not run from that gaze after so long. No, that gaze is my strength , Ishani corrected herself in her thoughts.
" Are you okey ?"
Honestly his question caught her unguarded, because she has not been this good in a while and the reason well it's the man standing right in front of her looking at her with so much love , care ,and admiration and God knows she just felt herself fall for him all over again.
" I'm doing really good " she says and links his hands in her owns where they belong she adds in her thoughts . She sees Ranveer exhale before he finally nods and she knew that he needs something more from her , so she cups his checks and says softly : " I promise , I am better than I have been in a while " and kiss his checks affentionalty .
" What about you ? she finally ask , and she looks at him struggling with an answer . She gives him time to find words , and he reluctantly let the words come out from his lips :
" If you are good , then I am good Ishani and if you are not good then I am not good either . Simple as that " His word makes her heart beat harder , and she in this moment knew what they said about soulmates were true. Two bodies , one heart .
" How can you love me even after all this ?" Ranveer asks and gone are Ishan's happy mood and she feels her anger boil and she jerkes herself away from him and Ranveer sees the fire of anger in Ishani 's eyes.
" You say it like I am doing a crime " Ishani says and she is getting a bad feeling that getting her happy ever after is not so easy as she thought.
" Ishani , I " Ranveer tries to say something , but instead saves himself from a conversation he is not ready for .
" The breakfast is ready " Ranveer says quietly and Ishani look's taken back once again before she covers up and turn around and give him his favorite breakfast . Both of them eat silently , before Ranveer takes the first step by breaking the silence and said :
" Thank you , the breakfast was really good "
" Why is it so hard for you to believe that I can love you ?" Ishani asks him teary eyed and Ranveer feels guilty , because no matter what he keeps bringing those tears in her eyes . He goes near her and wipe of her tears gently and said :
" Because I am a mistake " and soon as the words are out of his mouth , Ishani feels that a sword has hit her right where it hurts her most . She had called him her mistake , just like everyone he ever loved had done . She had betrayed him in the worst way possible.
" You are not a mistake Ranveer , I am your's " saying this , she runs of to her room , unable to look him in the eyes .
After a while she hears some knocking on the door and she can't meet him. Not after knowing which crime she has committed.
" Ishani , open up the door " She heard his strong and commanding voice .
" Go away Ranveer " she protest weekly and she hears silence and for a minute she thinks he listened to what she said before he drop another surprise this morning.
" I can't do that " he admits finally
" Why ?" she asks and his reply makes her realize the depth of his love .
" Because you need me , maybe more than I need you " he admits and she opens the door and he opens his arms for here.
" Never ever question my love again " she says between sobs , and he kisses each of her tear drop and says :
" Never again , baby girl " she hears him whisper in her ears. When she heard his heart beat say her name , she can't stop herself from giggling which makes Ranveer let go of her for a second and look at her questionably.
" Time might have changed , we might be more broken but you heart 's still beats my name " she explain and see a smile grow on his face and he ask her excitedly :
" Do you think it can heal your scars ?" and she gives it a thought before she smiles at him ruefully and kisses him on his nose playfully : " It will work wonders "
" Good , because the soothing smell of your hair still has the same effect on me " Ranveer says and wink at her , she can't explain the feeling when he comes close to her and smell her hair and sighs happily like a child getting his favourite candy.
Suddenly a new emotion is made in her , and she knew it has to be the same emotion Ranveer was feeling after he came to meet her in the beach after his first undercover mission.
She brings his face to hers and there is a new atmosphere around them yet it 's familiar because they have felt this once time earlier . Ishani presses her lips to his , and both closes their eyes and that moment was enough for the soulmates to know that they might give each other the most pain yet they could only give each other true happiness and love.
AN : This was very awkward to write and I hope I did not mess it up :) My apologies if this was the most lamest thing you have read , because romance is not my cup of tea 😆
