Chis chapter 24 : Something is fishy

She had observed it for several days now, that there was something different about him. She did not know what it was, but whatever it was it was making him very concerned. Their relationship had got stronger for every day that went, he always let a gift or souvenir before her pillow which she found every morning when she wake up. Gift like her favorite chocolate, a teddy bear, a picture of them, note, rose etc.

The thing was that everything was going so well in his life and she knew he was trying to make everyone happy and complete all his duties and responsibilities but she could also see clearly that something was going on with him. Even his complicated relationship with his mother was better than it what it had been for several years, so she knew it could not be this that was bothering him.
In addition to this, he had gotten his badge so it could not be that he was tensed or stressed about that , and even if it was some work related issue it would most certainly have affected her father as well, but here father was like he always was. She truly wanted to know what was bothering him so she could help him or support him, she had to admit that Ranveer had come far with opening up , but yet he had a long way to go.

She sighed and touched the necklace he gave her soulmates, that 's what we are. You might not be ready to share yet what is bothering you, but you can't assume that I won't understand that something is fishy.

Her phone rings and when she sees his name pop on the screen Ishani smiles and whisper to her: "We are truly soulmates, only you could know I was thinking about you "
She takes up the phone and hears him confidently saying: "Thinking about me sunny "
But she could not give him the pleasure of him being right so she answered:

"Well for your information it is said that if you think about the devil, then it would know "she said teasingly .

"If I have to have the title devil to be in your thoughts my dear angel, then I acknowledge this title happily. " Ranveer answered.

Ishani rolled her eyes and stated: "Drama queen "

She heard him laugh through the phone and she smiled automatically. To hear him laugh, always had a calming effect of her.

After a while she happily asked: "So where are we meeting today?" Since the incident some days back Ranveer had made sure to spend quality time with Ishani so every day they had gone on a date. No matter how hectic his day was, he would meet here every day so he could keep the promise he gave himself that he would make her happy no matter what.



Whether it was a walk to the beach, have a movie marathon, picnic, go out for dinner etc. She knew he was doing all this for keeping her happy and to assure her that no matter how hectic his day or life might be she would always be his first priority so he would always have time for her.

"Changes in the plan "she heard him say.

"Oh, is everything alright?" She knew it had to be a big reason for why they were not going on a date; she just hoped everything was fine.

"Well I thought to visit you, can you ask my mom to come over to as well so we all can have a family dinner "Ranveer explained and Ishani smiled on the sound of family dinner she loved it when everyone was gathered together.

"Of course Ranveer, I look forward to the dinner. "She said happily.

"I nearly forgot to tell you the most important thing, I am bringing a guest with me "she heard him say and was confused.

Before she could ask she heard him talk once again:

" I have to go no Ishani , I will talk to you when I come home. Love you "

"Okey, then I will talk to you later. Love you too "she answered before hanging up.

"Something is definitely fishy, and I think I am about to find out about what is going on "Ishani said to herself.
