Chapter 64

With a friend comes a warning



Nine year old Ranveer could feel the ugly taste of blood in the corner of his lower lip and was sure it was a horrendous bruise as a mark of remembering the worst beating his father had given him so far. But Ranveer was just happy that his father was drunk enough to not see the difference between him and his mom , so Ranveer had sent his mother in his own room so she could be safe from her husband torture at least for one night. Unfortunately for Ranveer that meant double session of torture for him . He was hiding in the forest , where he and Ridhima used to meet even Akash did not know about their secret meeting place.

He saw Ridhima come from school with her bag hanging over her right shoulder , he could see the worry in her features from far away. A tang of guilt hit him knowing the pain his torture gave to her and he wiped of the tear that was threatening to fall. Emontionesless- No pain - warrior he echoed the word softly. Ridhima finally reached him and cupped his face and gave him a painful expression and said with a chocking voice " Good thing I stole the medical kit from my mom's cabin" she said and in a hurry as she started to clean his wounds with a determination to heal him. The guilt that was with him seconds earlier was gone and a new egoistic happiness formed in his heart as he realized he probably would not make it without Ridhima 's care . Somehow his sister was an angel who's care and love was better than any medical help he ever could receive. He silently prayed that he never lost her companionship.


Ranveer woke up from his dream with a small smile on his face while a small tear fell from the corner of his eye. He stood up from bed , his mind lost somewhere in the past and he did not know when he feet's reached towards the window. Snapping back from his thoughts he looked outside the window , his eyes capturing the breathing beauty of the nature while the cold breeze of the early morning gently blew on his face and he thought of yet another person that fate had brutally snatched from him . Shaking his head as remembering himself that he was going to think positive from now on , feeling that he was obeyed to do it as he wanted the happiness of his family.

"Just because you got a new family does not mean you can forget me" hearing that voice made Ranveer freeze first but then he looked everywhere in the room desperately to find the face of the familiar voice. But there was nothing beside those white walls and he thought:" Akash I did not forget you neither our sister "

A light flash appeared in front of his eyes and Ranveer felt different emotions hit him as Akash appeared in front of him . Ranveer looked at him while his whole body was trembling as the memories of the last time he saw Akash came in front of his eyes. When he bleeded to death in his arms and uttered his last word , making Ranveer to promise to take care of his sister. Rannveer went towards Akash and held his shoulders tightly to give his heart the peace that his brother was okey.

Akash flashed him his most charming smile and said: "Yaar , you and Ridhi really need to take a chill pill , you two are really more depressing than Ekta Kappoor 's separation tracks in her serials" he said while Ranveer was still in shock to answer.

Akash casually sat down on the bed and said " Really man you became cop and now a businessman" he said with hint of a surprise and proudness in his voice. While Ranveer just stared on him with big eyes and wondering how this was possible.

Akash rolled his eyes and said" Why are you looking at me like I am some ghost , I am still more handsome than you , ask any girl" he said with a smirk on his face. This time managing to get a chuckle from Ranveer. Ranveer went to him and hugged him tightly and said in a low voice :" You really are here , I am not imagining this ?" he asked for clarification.

The reply he got was not the one Ranveer had hoped for , it gave him a bad gut feeling when he heard Akash nonchantely answer "I am the dead guy here , you tell me is this real or not real" Ranveers eyes turned red in pain remembering his bestfriends death and said "I don't need a reminder that you are dead" he said and saw Akash features soften and he took his hand on his shoulders and said " Don't blame yourself Ranveer , I don't like to see you or Ridhima in pain . You are doing great Ranveer , and yaar kya bhabhi you choose ." he said with a kind and loving smile.

He stood up and said : "Happy birthday Ranveer , I wish you only happiness and your two mrs. Vaghela 's are beautiful. Hold tight onto them, cause difficult times are coming up" and with that he was gone leaving Ranveer alone in the room while he puzzled over what just had happened

Aur abhi kya hero ke life mein problems aanewala hai? tk...poor guy, it's only problems and nothing else for him :(
