I find contradictions in all the characters of these show

few examples:

Shown dumb initially but later turn out to be cunning to the core and will handle any situation.(chirag)

Intelligent initially but super dumbos (Ranveer)

Successful businessman with no knowledge of market. Baa could find with one phone call that Ketan is broke but Harshad has no knowledge.

First trust and then doubt every action of the same person (of ranveer)

An upright person but no self respect for oneself or loved ones (Ranveer)

Totally fickle initially even for small and trivial issues but decisive for a wrong and important decision (Ishani)

Actually I love to see consistent characters (good or bad - no issues) in a show. Its an irony that most of the emphasis is put on the storyline, twist and drama in most of the Indian show. Consistent characters with small plots in which proper justice is done with each character can be a formula for success and has been proved in most of the successful Indian and western shows. ( Tarak Mehta is one of such Indian shows)
