That, I think, is subjective. You find story boring, I find the leads fascinating and thus their story refreshing. Though, some of it is sort of old, and I don't find myself interested in. But again that's subjective as many others would neither agree with you nor with me. Love stories can't be "new", so to speak. But, I think, this show is appealing as it's from a guy's point of view rather than a girl's. We are with Ranveer and are told his story. Though there are various point of views. No hard feelings for subjective stuff.

This story is a fresh story. Some bits are taken from older dramas but that doesnt spoil the fact that this story is more appealing being from the guy's point of view. Stories from girl's point of view are not that expressive of feelings...Girls are usually reserved in these shows and if this show was from Ishani's point of view, it would've been like any other show.
