06/03/2020- uh huh boring !!!

After yesterday's almost perfect episode today's episode felt fikkaaa and boring

The episode concentrated mostly on Nia and her business problems ..Nia and Kajal have now a office at home of Nia..they approached a consultant and now I suppose another triangle is coming up

Nia Kabir and the consultant ( I was so not interested that I didn't even get the name of the consultant )

God why do makers think that Nia without a man makes Nia incomplete ..why can't Nia make it on her own without Randeep or Kabir around her ?. Let her struggle ..

Why always have a love angle around .?? Why does Nia story have to have a Kabir or Randeep or some kind of triangle...athe end of the show they have a women's day message for everyone and they can't even show Nia as fighting her battles alone ..she has to have either Kabir or Randeep in her story ..

Well enough of my rant ..

The precap I hope is Amber's dream..I wouldn't like to see Amber and Guneet dancing together so soon. .let Amber work on it ..be more recalcitrant on his previous habits

Even I feel it will be a dream. For him shaking a hand with her was so awkward. Him dancing with a woman even if its guneet is too much to digest. But I found it awesome though.. waiting to see it. These 2's expression really makes any scene so so likeable.

Nia story is irritating. She is this over confident girl.

Man, yesterday's epi made me wonder who this story is really about ! Amber and Guneet sidelined in favour of Nia's business problems. I hope the makers aren't trying to pull in the younger audience by focusing more on the younger cast I am getting fed up of Nia. I agree with @atikna - why couldn't they show her just looking for a new job instead of miraculously starting her own company in like a few days time?? Can we please keep it realistic? And how many rooms does the Sharma house have anyway!? He has a huge space for himself and Nia, tenants have an equally large space and abhi office ke liye bhi kaafi jagah hai! Wow if only life was so easy and real estate so easy to come by.

They are going too much into the business side of things for both Nia and amber and then not knowing how to proceed. Where was the need for this new entry now? Now is nia going to feel jealous or something seeing the new girl with kabir?

@atikna - I too hope that Amber dancing with Guneer is a dream. Otherwise it makes no sense that a man who couldn't tolerate the touch of a woman is suddenly so comfortable having a woman in his arms.

Seriously ... Sometimes makers do wonders about the balance of the show and sometimes they don't give a crap..

Essentially it's also the fact that Varun and Sweta are also better actors and better at storytelling on screen so any scene with them around makes the scene better

Right now with such great disparity between actors of younger generation and the older generation ..we do prefer to see the older generation because they bring a lot of nuance to the characters so ..the younger generations story looks bland and highly non interesting

Secondly the structure of the story which is basically about a dulhan for Nia's dad means the story should focus more on Nia her Dad and his dulhan... But we hardly get any scene of Nia and Guneet at all now a days

Is it for sure that Nia won't have any problem accepting Guneet as new partner in her dad's life ?

I want to feel for Nia and her struggles but frankly I am not interested in her love life ... She has two guys mooning about her and she was not bothered and she shouldn't be ..she is a talented person so she should be caring about her career first and then her love life

But the makers are hell bent on making Nia be around either Kabir or Randeep

The story for Guneet and Amber should also proceed with baby steps..keep it slow and steady .

Although I must add that with all the never ending crap and the bhagyas and the super naturals things going on in other channels ..this show is a little better ..what to say but I am a sucker for Sony shows ... At least they end it before it becomes a crap fest ..

well, it was good.i really liked shweta and nia.for me it was good eposide

This isn’t a saas bahu serial where every episode someone is poisoning peoples food or a dumb but nice bahu is crying from insults whilst trying to be a goody two shoes or someone is turning into a snake dayaan wolf hybrid

It’s just a simple show about people and their relationships ...so I’m okay with it being mundane at times or ‘boring’ because the acting is so well done that I just sit back and enjoy that

Yes you are correct... But expectations high ho Gaye the ..kyunki Thursday 's episode was Fab and I do think showing so much of Nia and her work kinda breaks the balance in the show and that feels off

Well said. You have a very valid point there. Really, it has somehow become imperative that our Indian heroines (be it films or TV ) should have a hero in their lives.

Probably it's because our society is still quite conservative and it still considers a woman complete only if a man is there in her life.😳 Well, I think this view is changing and this is evident from the portrayal of Guneet who is shown as a fiercely independent woman, who is much happy without a man in her life.

But ,I think, on a more practical note, having men in the heroines' lives add to the drama. There are a whole lot of probabilities for creating interesting situations and twists. In short, show ko khinchne Ke kayi naye tareeke 😉😆

Well, anyhow, 'Mere Dad ki Dulhan' is definitely much more progressive and much more relatable than the other run-of-the-mill TV shows that we have been watching till now.
