Hi friends,

The best thing of this show is the dialogues written for all of the scenes. I know my hindi is a little weak. Sometimes I have to watch the scene 2-3 times to understand the real meaning behind those dialogues. But I love to listen to those. The conversation between Vrinda and Vikram when she goes for help in Mar 06 episode was very good. That's why I love watching this show. It improves my level of understanding hindi language, and I love to watch the pure relationships instead of out of wedlock relationships shown in most of the serials these days (most K dramas). I wish this type of serials could be telecasted on channels in US also.

Hi Neerja.

I totally agree with you. The dialogue writers are very good indeed. They use a high level of hindi but more than that, the words carry great impact and essential in carrying the scene through. That is why I often state that not only are the actors superb but the direction and dialogues are just superb.
Mere Apne has set a very high benchmark. It is a pity that not many people tune in to this show.

I had urged some of my friends to watch the show, but the excuse they gave was it was another saas-bahu drama. Is it really? Perhaps its worth dropping all their present saas-bahu dramas for a better produced drama like Mere Apne instead?

I used to watch a k-serial and there is a lot of redundancy in their dialogues. Nothing matches the wit and sattire of the dialogues in Mere Apne.

Kudos to the dialogue writers

Yeah you are right Sonia. Mere Apne is entirely different from all saas bahu dramas. In most of the other serials story is the same. There is a nice bahu and everyone else is torturing that poor girl. Or in some they have ruined woman's image to the extent that it's unbelievable. I don't watch any of those. So, I always look for some different story with a nice theme that can make my day after coming back home. Little bit of drama is always there in every serial, but atleast it should be believable.

I liked Virudh also which was Smriti's first soap. It was different from others too. I think most of the people like to watch saas bahu dramas to get the ideas how to torture their bahus or saas' 😆

I don't care if other people like this serial or not. The only thing I care about is what I like. And Sonia, that's why we are here talking to each other on this forum. Isn't it? 😉 😉

BTW the dialogue I loved the most and is still ringing in my ears is the one when Vikram says to Vrinda in Mar 06 episode:

"Main itna mahaan nahin hoon ki apne pyar ko saamne dekhkar undekha kar doon."

ya the dialogues are great but on a lighter note...just imagine if we talk to each other in daily life in such long dialogues... to say just a simple yes or no they give examples and all... imagine listening to your parents say all that to you... 😆
