Shivam left her there in the room standing with a million of thoughts in her head, she shut the door and fell down on ground Riya was heart broken she was in pain. Her whole world came crumbling down into tiny bits. As she opened the window of the room she remembered her father accusing her father in law her husband telling her that these six months should get over her mother in law curing her for getting married to her son. What an absolute mess she thought to herself...
As her eyes shut for a few minutes she saw herself standing in the aangan of the Srivastav house she felt like she was tied to a string as her arms and legs moved towards the swing Dadi had her tied into a web. On the other side Shivam was walking around the fire with Chanda Sarla was standing there with a smile Khushiya was gleaming ear to ear The whole family was happy Shivam was happy. She started to cry the room filled with water and suddenly she saw herself outside the house she saw herself on the road her father's voice "Riya I told you they are not your type, I warned you I did what I did for you because you were in pain, I cant see you like that understand this is not the lie I wanted you to have." She fell on the floor crying and suddenly she saw herself open her eyes her cheeks stained with dry tears. But she wasn't wrong she thought to herself she did nothing wrong its unfair she was portrayed in bad light it is time to set things straight she took a deep breath if Shivam wanted her out of his life he would have that but giving up and leaving without proving her innocence is not her style after the truth is out she will see what to do with Shivam but for now she had to get things right and without wasting time.
She made a few calls explaining to people what needed to be done enough is enough it was time to end this.
It was around night time when the family gathered for dinner Nimmi had walked in to meet dadi and everyone was happy. Preeti was sulking off the importance Shivam stood in the corner no expressions on his face he was mum.
Shanti: "Areey oh Khushi get some hot puris, Chanda come sit nears Shivam and have food
Khushya: "Here Ammaji take, Arrey Chanda why aren't you eating anything take some more vegetable"
Chanda: "No thanking Maasiji its all good"
Raghav: "Where is Riya "
Shanti: "Raghava why are you taking that mahooses name for a change there is no drama in my house lets eat in peace"
Raghav: "We can not let her starve its not right"
Shanti: "Who cares if she is dead or alive she is not to eat till we don't finish our food"
At this point Shivams head rose to look at his grandmother he did not like what she had said. Raghav was about to say something when a small determined voice said.
Riya: "Here I am."
She walked in with two lawyers her father and Bunty a big fat book in her hands. Behind her thraughted along was the police and what happened next shocked the whole family.
A lady constable walked into the house holding Sarla everyone got up from there seats in shock.
Shanti: "Police Sarla whats going on... Why has the Police got Sarla... Why is Sarla with the police"
Khushiya starts crying, the rest of the family shocked.
Raghav: "Inspector Sahab now what happened why have you got my sister"
Sarla:" Bhaya see see what your laadly Bahu is doing to me see she is not sparing our family, twice in one day they are here"
Shivam: "What is this Riya" He said in an angry tone
Riya: "You want me to go from here right you want these 6 months to get over soon right, you feel I cause pain to your family that I am insensitive that I am not able to fit into your family. That I ruined your sisters life that I didn't make an effort. Fine today I am leaving your family. I will leave from this house and never come back Shivam but I will go on one condition"
Shanti: "We don't make deals with cheaters you cheated us."
Riya: I cheated you or you cheated me. Today god will tell the truth" She said in a determined voice
The whole family looked on shocked. Shanti was scared but didn't show it
Riya gave a fat book to Shanti, it was the Geeta she looked at her face to face in the eye and said in a small stern voice unable to bother who was around her. Shanti was confused, Riya grabbed her hand and placed it over the book
Riya: I will go from this house and not come back I will walk out off all your lives and go somewhere far, if this is what you want if this is what you wish for your grand son but in return for this you will keep your hand on this book and speak the truth you will tell the family what you did to me the moment I entered the house as Shivams wife and once the truth is known I will go.
Shanti: (moving her hand away said) I will not do any such thing I have not done anything to you I have given you respect this house gave you that you ruined it."
Shivam: "Riya what new naatak is this"
Riya: "You will find out soon."
Anupam: "Go ahead Ammaji why don't you say how much you tortured my daughter"
Shanti's eyes became red as she started to fumble
Riya: "If you didn't do anything then put your hand on the Geeta and speak the truth, say you did nothing... but remember that whatever you say god is listening so speak wisely"
Shanti: "Raghava say something"
Sarla: "Amma this is all a web of hers she is plotting against us "
Lady Constable: "Shut up" she gave Sarla a stern look who made eyes.
Riya looked back at Sarla and said
Riya: Fine Buaji lets start with you, Why don't you come and place your hand on this holy book and speak.
Sarla: Why should I, I did nothing wrong.
Riya: Then place your hand and say that you did nothing wrong
She turned towards her. Sarla looked at her brother and said
Sarla "Bhaya help me please see what this Diaan is doing"
Raghav: Sarla place your hand on the book.
Everyone looked shocked at Raghav and Shanti said in a shocked voice.
Shanti: Your doubting your sister how could you for this girl how could you
Raghav: What is the harm of putting her hand on the book when she id nothing wrong Sarla place your hand and speak the truth what is Riya talking about.
Sarla: Amma
Shanti: Sarla place your hand,
Sarla: Amma what are you making me do
Shanti: DO it for the family, do it to prove her wrong (She said in a crying manner) If your brother dosent believe you what could you do.
She said hoping that Raghva would say something but Raghave remained quite,
Shanti: See Khushia there is no trust in us.
Khushiya starts to cry: No Ammaji no, why are you doing this is is your mother
She told Raghav, who looked at her and said in a crying manner
Raghav: When Ammaji and Sarla have done nothing wrong what is the harm in placing their hand, Prove Riya wrong?
Shanti: Fine We will place our hand
She said taking a deep breath unable to escape. Sarla swallowed some spit scared, Shanti was about to place her hand on the book when suddenly
Riya: Be careful Dadiji speak the truth or you don't know how God can punish you.
Shanti placed her hand on the book and Riya asked her
Shanti: Riya I did... (She paused the whole family looked on towards her waiting to complete her sentence, bells rang it was the near by mandir that had the aarti) I did...
Riya: You did?
Shanti more and more nervous she could not lie with her hand on the Geeta, her breath increasing, The mandir ghantis going louder she new she could not win.
Shanti: I made sure Riya would fall in everyone's eyes,
The whole family looked on shocked at the revelation Riya looked at Shivam who was stunned beyond level, Shanti looked on at the whole family.
Raghav: Amma Speak what did you do
Shanti: Raghava I did it for the good of this house, understand, I did this for Shivam.
Raghav: What did you do
Riya: Say the truth Ammaji you know god is watching
Shanti: I was not happy when Riya married Shivam her wit her modern mannerisms were not what I wanted in a daughter in law, I didn't want some one who changed my rules and questioned my authority. I made everyone believe that Riya wants Preeti to marry mohit when its not true she went to stop Preeti, I made Khushiya believe that Riya was causing apshakun in this house, I tried to cause problems between Riya and Shivam, She is not worth this house she has ruined everything, Sarla created that mess durings Amits wedding she lied that Riya has a twin sister and tried to marry Riya and Amit off but unfortunately when the truth came out I had no choice but to agree to the marriage of Shivam and Riya... Raghva I did this for the Shanti off this house. I took Sanyas also because Riya won the keys from me I wanted to prove that her modern ways of running this house are not good. Sarla got Chanda to show Riya that she is better girl and life partner of Shivam, I did this for this house and for Shivam...
Everyone looked on Shocked at Shanti as she revealed every single thing in front of the family things all started becoming clear that's when Nimmi spoke...
Nimmi: Every one blamed Riya bhabhi for my marriage but the fact is that it is Preeti didi's fault We told her not to go to Mohit Preeti Di may be acting like she is upset but you know the truth Riya bhabhi is not to blame in this we both stopped you.
Preeti was about to raise her hand on Nimmi when her father stepped into the middle and threw her on the side. Preeti and the whole family looked on shocked.
Preeti: You made me marry this low class pone how could you do this to me,
Shivam: How could you do this too me, I blamed Riya all this while thinking she ruined your life and you went on your own how could you. You ruined my marriage my life.
Shivam turned to Shanti and said in a sad broken voice.
Shivam: I always thought that you would care for Amit Bhaya and Buas children more than us. What did we ever do to you that you have done this to me, Riya has been right all along and I was foolish enough to believe on you and trust you I should have stood by my wife. I should have not done what I did. I hate you daadi you took everything from me, You broke me by not, You made my wife go through all this for what only for a set of keys.
He looked shocked at his grandmother, Shaanti saw her own grandson go against her. For the first time he spoke out and Shanti truly felt like she lost everything
Raghav: Amma I cant belive you did this, how could you such a horrible plot against Riya and why what for, what you did is not right, everyone blamed Riya for no reason everyone cursed her and all because of you what did you get out of ruining my childrens lives
Shanti looked shocked at Raghav, and Sarla was angry.
Shivam: Riya I am sorry I am very sorry please forgive me, I have been a bad husband, PLEASE FORGIVE ME
Riya: Shivam its no use SHIVAM
Everyone stopped and looked at Riya.
Riya: Shivam you wanted me to go right, so be it I am leaving.
She handed him the papers and told him face to face.
Riya: Do you remember what I told you on the night of our marriage that I would do everything to convince your family and adjust into your house I would everything to be a good daughter in law but all I want from you is your support love and trust and only I proved it you our standing by me.. Shivam if you don't love me whats the point of our relationship go marry chanda make your family happy
The whole family looked shocked Riya brought her bags down. Shivam folded his hands and pleaded in front of everyone don't go, please . but she refused to listen.
Sarla smiled seeing Riya pack her bags and leave Khushiya was crying and crying away saying she is sorry she didn't see the truth
Khushiya: Riya please don't go please I am sorry I never saw the truth I am sorry I doubted you please forgive me.
Riya: I am no one to forgive you mummyji I am sorry I thought this house to be mine I am sorry I thought that I could change, you know I have no mother I always thought of you as one but you regret the day when I married your son you said it yourself so I am walking out I hope chanda makes a good daughter in law
Raghav: Riya please don't go we are very sorry for what has happened.
Riya: I respect you but I have got to go
She said walking out of the house, one of the lawyers said
Layer: Mrs Srivastav has signed the papers after 3 months you will be divorced.
Shivam: But the court order says 6 months
Lawyer: Yes but we have put it on fast track, so three months the court has agreed, till then we hope you respect our client and keep distance or else we will have to take legal action.

Chapter 2
It was around 11 pm when Riya came back home her tear stained cheeks as she plonked on the bed, her father walked in and said.
Anupam: We need to talk
Riya: Yes Papa
Anupam: I thought you wanted them to know the truth are you serious about Shivam, Beta whatever said and done you love SHIVAM.
RIiya: But does Shivam love me??
Anumpam: I have thought of something '
Riya: And whats that Papa
Anumpam: In time you will find out, now close the lights and go to sleep.
He switched off the lights tucking Riya in bed.

In Shanti Sadan, The whole house remained silent, Shanti lay in her room on the bed thinking off her defeat from Riya she had no plan of giving up she wanted to get Riya for what she had done, Unfortunately she had no idea what was coming ahead...
Shanti: I will not leave this girl I will not let her live in peace she has ruined my life and my house. Riya you will pay for this. you will pay for what you have done. I swear on my dead husbands soul you will pay.
Meanwhile Shiavam was clinging to Riyas photograph, he had it close to his heart his eyes were red his cheeks were dry he looked so sick, As Khuashaliya walked into the room she saw her son and what state he was in she went to him and kept her hand over her head he looked at his mother and said in a sad voice.
Shivam: Riya was not wrong, I was wrong all this while. How could I do such a thing. Mummy How could we not trust her
Khushiya: Shivam beta stop crying please stop crying, It is all our fault and not only yours we all didnt trust her.
Shivam: what good did Dadi get out off doing all this, what did she gain of breaking me like this. I know she never liked Riya but I did, I love her, couldnt she just accept her for me.
Khushiya: Shivam beta go to sleep its late we will speak in the morning. Everything will be fine we will fix it have faith in god.
Khushiya kissed his head and then walked out of the room. As she walked into her room she saw her husband on the bed he had a glum face, truely today was a sad day for all.
Raghav: How is he
Khushiya: He is sad, he is holding her photo to his heart, I wish this didnt happen. I cant help my son, he is in pain he is stress what have done
Raghav: Malkine we will fix it I will call Anupamji tomorrow we have to talk it out between the elders
Khushiya: I agree with you but what about Amma
Raghav: She will not say anything, She can not and will not say anything I have to fix the damages that Amma has done
----------------------------------------Next Morning--------------------------------------------
The whole Family was gathered in the hall as Khushiya was serving tea to everyone. Anumpam entered the house Raghav was sitting on the bench and Shanti on her swing she was shocked to see Raghav. Every one looked on.
Shanti: Now why have you come here for what have you come to take.
Anupam remained quite and calm. Raghav looked at his mother and said in a stern voice.
Raghav: I have asked him to come here
Shanti: FOr what Raghava why
Shivam walked down the staircase to see his Father in law he had a sad look on his face he reached down touched his feet and then did namaste
Raghav: Anumpamji come sit.
Shivam got him a chair to sit, Shanti looked agitated and asked her son.
Shanti: Why is he here
Raghav: Amma you will not say anything now you will stay out of this I have decided the parents will take a decision of Riya and Shivams marriage and so I have asked him to come here.
Shanti: How could you want to reconcile with them after all this they have ruined your childrens lives.
Raghav: Amma I have had it with you (He got up from the chair and yelled at his mother) You will not interfere
Anupam: Guard Babu I am only here for my daughter, tell me what is it that you have to say.
Raghav: I want Riya to come back here I want her to be my sons wife my son will die without her. He needs her we need her (Raghav folded his hands in plea)
Sarla: (Shocked) Bhaya what are you doing you want this Riya back into our lives why.
Raghav: Sarla shut up you have no right to interfere in my children's lives
Sarla and Shanti looked at each other and then Shanti said
Shanti: Khushiya dont we have right on your children are we Paraya. See this this Riya has given us this day also now my grandchildren are not mine any longer.
Sarla: See Amma how Bhaya and Bhabhi have kicked us out of their lives what days have come for us to see.
Raghav: Enough (he shouted at the top of his voice I have had enough) Anupamji I suggest we go and talk on the terrace just you and me. That would be better.
There was complete silence Shanti and Sarla looked shocked.
Anupam: Guard Babu there is something I would like to say infront of everyone and especially to SHivam, there are a few questions I would like to ask him.
Everyone remained silent, Shantis's eyes went in and O shape as she looked on. Shivam took a deep breath and prepared himself
Anupam: Shivam when was the last time you spent some alone time with Riya?
Shivam looked blank at Anupam, he didnt know what to answer because the fact is he and Riya never got alone time they were so busy with family and by the time they came back at night to their room they would sleep because they were so tired, most days they would not even cuddle because they were so tired.
Anupam: Okay answer me this ever since you got married did you ever take Riya out once ??
Shivam: Papa I...
Shanti: What kind of rubbish questions are these
Raghav: Amma Chup... (he looked at Anupam and said) Anupamji why are you asking all this.
Anupam: Guard babu, I agree with you Riya and Shivam need to work things out but how would they, this big house these many people and on top of the pile Ammaji who is after my daughter. Even if Shivam and Riya do get back what is the guarantee that my daughter will not go through this again.
Shanti: So your saying its all my fault that all this happened that Riya and Shivam are in this pain because of me
Anumpam: what is there to say isnt it obvious Ammaji that you are the reson all this is happening (Shanti looked all shocked) The fact is that you want this house you want to control the people in this house you want the keys to this house you could do anything for it the fact is you care more for the keys of this house than your own children
Shanti looked shocked as the rest of the house stayed quite. She said
Shanti: Raghava he is insulting me and your standing there mum
Anumpam: Ammaji if i was your son I would be standing quite as well, The fact is you dont like Riya and in this house you will not let her live in peace (He turned to Shivam) Tell me something Shivam is this the kind of future you want to give Riya. I ask you this (Turning to Khushiya) tell me Kaushalyaji when shivam and Riya have your grandchildren do you want them to grow up in an environment like this where they see their mother fight with their great grand daadi and that their father cant do anything to save their mother from her clutches, you are her mother in law you know Riya doesnt have a mother she always saw a mother in you what did you get out of saying such ill of my daughter
Khushiya: I am sorry samdhiji i didnt know (she said crying) I didnt know this was the truth, i am foolish please forgive me please I only want my son to be happy.
Everyone stood their in silence Shivams heart was beating as he thought he didnt want to separate from Riya at any cost.
Raghav: I understand what your saying Anupamji I do but what is the solution out of this problem
Anupam: Riya and will only be happy if they dont live in this house. (The whole family looked on shocked) I hate to say the truth but the fact is that these two need time for themselves, I am sorry i know the family will separate but your mother will never let my daughter live in peace and i know it so the only way this marriage could work is if Ammaji keeps her house and Riya takes her husband Shivam.
Shanti: Have you gone mad, talking of splitting this house, Raghava they have lost it there has never been a split in the family and there will never be a split either. and where are we going to get a new house for your daughter, will the money fall from the sky
Anumpam: I have a solution for that as well, I have decided that I am moving to the village to take care off Buaaji health and I have decided that I am going to put teh house I live under Riya's name. If Shivam wants he can move into that house and convince Riya to take him back and if everything works well then we can see what happens ahead.
Raghav: We accept the offer I agree Shivam and Riya need some time alone.
Shanti and Sarla looked at each other thinking that at least something they got out of Riya now soon they will take over her house and Sarla had plans to call it Sarla Sadan
Anupam: But there is one more condition. I need Ammaji and Sarla to sign these papers as well.
Shivam: What papers Papa
Anupam; SOrry beta I know this may come as a shock to you but the fact is that i dont trust these people in particular, This is a contract of exclusivity that they will not do any such stunts to get my house on their name the house will be under Riyas name at any cost, I cant leave without knowing my daughter is safe
Shanti and Sarla looked shocked at each other
Raghav: Your daughter is safe i will assure my mother and my sister will not look at your house, That house will belong to Riya, Amma sign the papers
Shanti: Raghava I will not sign the papers I will not do any such thing
Raghav: Then I too will leave from this house Amma and the you can live here by yourself
Shanti: Raghava what is all this why didnt i die before i saw this day my own son does not trust me.
Raghav: Malkain
Khushiya: Huh (she looked shocked)
Raghav: Pack our bags we are leaving
Khushiya: Ji
she scurried off Shanti tried to stop her fro doing so
Shanti: Khushiya what are you doing
Khushiya: Sorry i have to do what my husband tells me to ammaji or else he will leave me. please sign the papers
Shivam: papa let it be she cares only for herself and not us (he turned to anupum) I will sign the papers papa i assure you the house will be Riyas at any cost
He bent down and signed the papers, After alot of argument Shanti singed the papers and so did Sarla

Shivam enters the house to see his wife in the kitchen she was cooking food, he holds her from behind and kisses her cheek. She closes her eyes (kabhi jo baadal barse plays) then she turns around to see him and what happens next will Riya forgive SHuvam stay tuned to find out
