Agree with most of what you said, except I dont feel sorry Riya at all, especially since the way she treated her dad. But this whole door mat persona has been going on so long now, im bored to tears with her attempts to "win" them over. Yeah she made a really stupid mistake by not telling Raghav that Preeti had eloped- but it was the smallest of the evils amongst the three of them and yet she is being punished the most. How can someone stand for that for months on end? Yeah i felt sorry for her in the beginning but now its beyond ridiculous, no self respect. If she wants to keep being pi*sed on then thats her choice too, she has a brain and a mouth too, use them and get the hell out of there.
As for how Nimmi behaves with her in-laws... Im kind of confused there myself. Because even if she doesnt know their truth the way we do, she still knows that Sharmilli is a nasty old bint. I mean she DID try and slap her in the street. So I suppose thats given her an idea of the kind of woman she is- and of course Sujeev is a mega a*sehole whether he takes his meds or not. But still I also agree that sometimes Nimmi takes it too far by getting overzealous in protecting the "honour" of her parents. Its kind of nice but OTT also... like her parents ARE pretty damn useless and honestly neither of them could give two figs for her since she got married. So Im kind of split on that.
Anyway I just caught up with todays epi. It came to me that Preetis face during all her pre-wedding rituals was like she had been slapped by a slimy fish the entire time. She was so bloody miserable the WHOLE time. And now she has the audacity to get jealous of and blame Nimmi for living a life of luxury? She should do what Mohit did in SS. She should invite herself into Sharmillis house and sleep in the living room, maybe that way she can get revenge on her sister and take Vyom back. Seriously- with the way she is behaving, it wouldnt surprise me in the least. She is a nasty piece of work, huh!
