A daughter's mariage and financial issues. If the family is rich, there is no problem. If the family is poor or lower middleclass, then problem arises. They have to mortgage the house or take heavy loans.

The jewellery alone is costing Ras. 3 lakhs.

And marriage expenses like conducting, the feast, the hall, the reception etc. will be not less than 3 lakhs or even more.

Preeti is not earning and they want to get her married into a rich family and that rich family will want everything high profile.

The son of the family has to share the burden smilingly as he loves his sister and if he does not love his sister he will do it grudgingly. The bahu. It depends if the bahu is Sarla type or Kushiya type.

On the other day they did not have money to buy even groceries.

If all the money is spent for Preeti's marriage, what about Namita and her marriage expenses?

it's just plain messed up. after spending ALL that money, there's no guarantee that the bride and groom will even get along and be good partners to each other unconditionally.

If lots of money spent on marriages then bride & groom wont think of divorce,,,,; thats a mentality in India 😉

IDK where the money comes from plus we have indirect beggars like Sarla, who didn't even do nothing and is still demanding a necklace and Kushiya easily believed her. She didn't even mention that Sarla was planning to set up Priti and Vyom to Sharmili :/
