well, i m suppose to defend the sahabi Hazrat Abu Hurerah R.A n clear your misunderstanding here coz i m a student of islamic studies as well as comparative religion. i have done M.A in Islamic studies n read hadith as a subject.

Hazrat Abu Hurerah R.A never febricated ahadith from Prophet S.A.W. The reason y we do trust ahadiths is that ALLAH has taken the responsibility to protect Islam that's the only reason no one was ever able to change Qura'an. It has been immensely taken care that what kind of people are narrating those ahadith by muhadathin while writing them. they have checked each and every thing about them n even store the lives of 10 lac people to make sure that the narrators were genuine n practicing the true islamic teachings n Hazrat Abu Hurerah R.A was one of them. they take care for every thing for example how was their behavior, how they treat others, did they ever gone for fake shahdat even they have checked about them that they were not use to of eating on the ways or making noise in bazar. Mustahriqeen i.e. non muslim researchers about like Springer also said there was no nation in the world like muslims who invented the new field of knowledge called Asma ur Rijal in urdu.

Hazrat Abu Hurerah R.A narrated less or more than 6000 ahadith, he was having weak memory initially but it got recovered by the miracle of Prophet S.A.W which made Hazrat Abu Hurerah R.A remembering each and every thing. that's the reason of his narration are more. there are a lot of ahadith in Bukhari n Muslim by Hazrat Abu Hurerah R.A. about Bukhari its a decision of all scholars that its the most authentic book after Quran Muslim comes after it. Any hadith which is mentioned in both Bukhari n Muslim is called a Mutfaq aleh Hadith n according to all scholars n muhaditheen denying such hadith is a kufer.

In short, we can't say or believe that Hazrat Abu Hurerah R.A fabricated ahadtih as per ijma e ummat on Bukhari n Muslim for being authentic from the beginning of islam. Propeht S.A.W said that this ummat can never has ijma for a wrong thing ijma means for being agree on one thing by whole ummah. I hope I made it clear.
