Which show is this?

Hi everyone! I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I couldn't think of anywhere else. I don't watch too many dramas because I don't have the channels. But I took a trip to India a few weeks ago and saw some while I was there. There was one that I found interesting, but I can't for the life of me remember the name of it. I'm really curious about what happens next.

The part I saw had a father (played by Nimai Bali) who wanted to get his son married to a traditional punjabi girl. He announced the rishta at a party. The son is really angry about this because he's already seeing someone. The girl he's seeing is supposedly from UK or US and speaks very little Hindi. The guy's friend (or cousin, I'm not sure) is supportive of him as is his grandfather. Ultimately he and his girlfriend get married and he brings her home on the day that he was supposed to get engaged to the punjabi girl. His father is livid and kicks him out of the house.

Does anyone recognize this? It was only a few weeks ago. Thanks in advance for your help.
