Why leave India

Hi Friends,
I am new to this forum and currently working on a documentary. I wanted some feedback on your views/opinions about an issue I am handling in my film.

The issue is, why do people in India are so obsessed about moving to USA? What does India lack that there is a need to go abroad to live there? And not only Indians, but people living in Pakistan, Bangladesh or Sri Lanka - they all would not mind leaving their country to go abroad.

Is it because you earn more money there, or have a better lifestyle, or is it because you want to impress your relatives/family members?

Please friends, your feedback will help me a lot. I will surely give credit to you in my flim as well.

all the pepole from diff countries come on their personal reasons the main are studies and job. in india they don,t have that good studies pepole come here to study and then go back to india to get a good job.some pepole come for better life and job cuz in india it,s hard to get a job or when you are not highly educated and as for buisness most of the time it don,t work. nobody wants to leave their homeland but they have to for better life for themselves specially money and for urfamily and kids . in india u can,t earn that much money but here even if are not a graduate still u can have money and start buisness cuz here we have a hope but in india there is not even a single hope.

well i don't kno i wus born in the usa && i mean i go back to india for vacations in stuff && i love it cuz liike all myy families there buh liike it's just easier to liive here liike biiger houses && easierr schools i thiink && liike it's soo much cleanerr

Well my family and I live in the UK... and we are moving to Pakistan so I guess we're doing the opposite... My Dad has worked hard for about 15 years over here and now we are going to Pakistan and settle there... he has secured our future over there and we can live very happily there... Every summer holiday we go to Pakistan and are very use to the lifestyle there as well and enjoy ourselves a lot. In September I will start Year 11 and then after that my school life finishes and then I will be moving to Pakistan next year and attend college over there. My sister is a year behind so she will be coming the following year and then our whole family will be settled there.

well i guess v can fin an answer, if we run back the road.

people living here in US today are mostly the ones who have left india some 30 40 years back. India back then was quite misplaced in front of US. people crazilly needed US visas, some to study more , some to get "any jobs" some for lifestyles but mostly for jobs and studies.. now after coming to US ...they struggle 10 years before they start a break even living and by this time get married if they or not or call their spouses if married in India. now there are familes bringing up and calling others forming communities..... bringing up their children..working harder ..paying takes..etc ..why they dont visit India ???? hello they cant visit India..they dont get enough holidays ..jobs dont permit long leave....and children grown up here want freedom...not enough money to afford tickets..well years paase and scenario in India changed ..today India has better education pland ..jobs and In India today if u have money u have a great life and in US today if u have work u have a good life. thats the reason NRI's dont leave US as they can afford a good life with whatever job and income they have. what they cant afford is going back at their late ages with half family opting to stay back...and reaching India to be with the relatives they already left who have by now become rich and prosperous //to start life again and still have nothing as u have to have money for a luxurios living in india...

so ...they stay back in US

oh hi again i lost track of topic above..i guess people used to be crazy abt US now i dun c so much US charm in indian eyes...

they have high posts in india earn more in call centers study and work and prosper they r no more blind..they r happu in India....i think these days people are returning...

if i had an opportunity i would certainly love to return back 👍🏼

im my oppinion people move abroad because 1. you have a better and advanced lifestyle 2. a better future
and what i mean by advanced lifestyle is better options, career paths and advanced technology. 3. better support i guess finacially and the main thing less Health issues. In abroad we have better technoology health wise and better medical support 😃

i agree as people are making money and have made a better career for them selves and family they are now returing to there own countries. 😃

it is defitnely becuz ppl want to have a better lifestyle or its because you want to impress your relatives/family members....

i have thought about this many many times.....and i thought no offence but india just wants to be like america....i mean look at the movies these days......

india is equually jealous than shri lanks bangladesh or even pakistan

Education in India is as good as anywhere else in the world. Unless your motive is to do Phd and specialize in a particular field, there is no reason to leave India and go abroad. IIT, IIM, LSR, there is a long list of established colleges. And believe me, getting into a top school here is equally hard as getting into top colleges in India.

Job market is crazy in India these days. There are jobs for educated people everywhere. I have seen some of the most uneducated people earning 25000 to 30000 rupees per month working in call centers.

I agree with the cleaniness part. India isnt the cleanest place in the world!

I wish you all the best, it is a very big decision. Since you are there, why not complete your education there as well? Why go back to Pakistan for it? Also, what made your parents decide to go back home?

Advanced Lifestyle
Starbucks, McDownalds, Fancy resturants, Awesome movie theatres, digital cable, fast internet, awesome clubs to party - all of these exist back home too.

Career Path
Here or there, both places you have to equally work hard to rise.

Better Medical
A new trend of outsourcing Docters has started in India. Medical facilities are pretty good back home too. If you think the US healthcare system is good - watch Michael Moore's "Sicko", you'll see how horrible it is. People go to India to get their spectacles made, they get their medication from India - it is way better, trust me!
