Gr8 topic! When I went to India in December, I had soo much fun, i didn't want to leave. India has changed so much since the last time I was there. I was born there and I came to the US when I was two. I've been there a lot of times. I think its a really wonderful country. I miss India a lot!!😭 Ok, here's what I miss the most....

~First of all, I reallly miss my relatives. Its sooo fun talking to them, and meeting them in person after such a long time!! We always have so much fun together. In the US its just me, my parents, and my sis. Things get sooo boring...

~I miss the food!! I love Indian food, especially the sweets!! Ahh... my grandma makes the best gajar ka halwa in the world. While I was there, I ate soooo much!! Paysam, yum!!! The bhoondi ladoo, the modak, the list goes on.... Indian sweets are the best!!

~The Mall!!!!My grandparents are in Mumbai, in Malad... and we're really close to the Inorbit Mall. Everytime I went there, I met some TV celebrity or the other. Once I met Tanaaz-Bhaktiyaar. Then I met Raja-Sweta Tiwari.... and I spoke to them. They were reallly nice! I even saw Aman Verma and the entire Zee Cinestarz team. Here in US malls close at 5:00 pm!! But there I was zapped, cuz we were in the mall at 11:30pm!! And the mall was still crowded with ppl!! I love that there is so much of nightlife there. And the food court, OMG thats just the best.. US malls can't even compete with malls there!

~The smell of India.... as soon as we land and get into the airport... u know u have come home. Ppl are so friendly, helpful!

~Shopping!! The shopping there is the best!! The way you can bargain there, thats awesome! My grandma is the best bargainer! If they're selling something for Rs.600, she can get it for you for Rs. 300!! And the shopkeepers there don't even get mad, they are having fun with you bargaining!! The whole shopping experience there is entertaining!

~Neighbors! Wow, its like the whole building is one happy family.... everyone is like family. Every minute there is one person or the other at the door, some with a new dish they prepared, some just coming over to offer to help groceries shopping, and some just coming randomly to ask how yur doing. There is so much of genuine love there. Over here, when someone asks u how yur doing... they hardly even mean it.

~TV!! OMG, the variety of channels they have there... i realized how much i am missing out on.

~Servants!!!!!!!!!!!! Ppl there live like kings! Having servants for everything. May it be cooking, cleaning, ironing, you name it. And they charge so little!!

~Weddings!!! Oh its just lovely... I am missing so many weddings cuz most weddings happen when I'm not there!! The food, celebration, lehngas, mehndi!!! And did I mention food?😉

~Autos.... I wish I could throw my car away and always ride in autos. They're so dirty, but so fun!!! The whole ride is bumpy, and u never have to wear seatbelts!!!!

~Weather, the weather there is always so perfect. Ya, it gets hot in summer... but its better than freezing in the winter and wearing so many layers!!

~Fashion Jewelry, thats my alltime favorite! The variety there is soooo much!!!! I went crazy shopping, there was too much to choose from. I just picked them all😆

I can go on and on and on.... but I won't😛 I love India so much. Sare Jahan se achha Hindustan humara! Wishing u all A Happy Republic Day!!

~Jai Hind!~

I have never lived in my country (India). I came to UAE when I was 2 yrs. I crave for one single sight of my Grand father's home and the sweet loving memory of the simple life that they used to lead.
But I think even if I was in India, I would still not get to see those things as life in India too is changing.
I am from Bihar. Might make one wonde what I miss from there.!!!! 😆
