Did you say books? Reading is my favourite pastime.

Happy World book day to everyone!

Thank you for creating this thread Sonatia!!

Thanks to my parents, I got into reading at a very young age. They let me read everything including magazines, travelogues, thrillers, biographies, comics. During my year 10 exams, the exams got postponed by 10 days. I quickly ran to the library to get a book because I have free time in my hands. My mum did not like it a bit, but, my dad said it is OK to take a break.😊

I love to read.

Cheers....

Might be late to the party but as a bookworm, I'm here. 😆

A few of my favourites are The Alchemist and Zahir by Paulo Coelho; John Green's Looking for Alaska and Mary Shelley's Frankenstein or The Modern Prometheus ❤️

Here's a little poem I wrote on last World Book Day

Books are the mirrors of our souls

To all the books

that I've read from the beginning to the very end,

to books that have broken me, mended me,

books that shattered my soul and healed my heart

books that taught me life,

books that made me laugh, cry, angry, sad, and much more

books that have made me what I am

books that have been my friends and my fiends.

Books that I have read, that I will read, and those I will never be able to read...

Thank you!

Thank you all those amazing authors and poets

who wrote such words into those books.

Awesome post by you, CC's! ⭐️⭐️

Dunno how I missed this thread 2 months back when it was posted.. 🤔

Nevertheless, I loved reading thriller novels in my childhood and I read self help books now a days.

My all time favorite book will always be The Metamorphosis. It's overall conceptualization & writing is classic.

I am very late but thank you for the amazing post!!! Reading through this post makes me so nostalgic😊

I discovered my love for reading a little late. I started reading novels during my tenth standard. My parents would discourage me from reading novels as i had to concentrate on my board exams. So i would wake up at 3 AM just to read some novels. I would also cover the books and call them my text books sometimes😳

I love reading classics. My favorites are Little women , northanger abbey, and Pride and prejudice. I also love wooster and jeeves series by PG Wodehouse. These books are my comfort reads. I enjoy reading mysteries, humor, thrillers , chick lit and historical romances too.

I like to experiment with different genres, so i will pick up the some books others suggested next 😃
