Respecting elders...

so do u guys think that it is very important to respect elders...? or u think they just like a few other ppl...and we shouldn't really care about them?

I think everyone should respect their elders. Sometimes we may find it hard as to why they disagree with what we want or what we chose but they have experienced more out of life and it's not until we're that age that will we truly know why they are so protective.
People we look up to tend to earn more of our respect but our elders should always gain respect since they have learnt more from life which makes them wiser than us.

I feel that we should respect elders...coz one day..we all will be old..and would like other respectiong us..so we respect elders..we will be respected with we are older...

for me personallie i haf always hurt my parents a lot....I realize the mistake of being so frivolous and not heeding their advice.....Parents help us in every tiny way ti ensure that we r not alone in this world!!!We shud always respect elders but there is a stage whr some may give more respect to their parents than others-i find this unfair treatment!!!Every1 shud get equal repsect,even urself!!!

For those who do not respect elders-

NO ONE stays forverey young. One day you'll be old too, and your disrespecting elders will haunt you in your ageing days. Then you'll know how much it hurts to not be given your due for the years you've lived.

I think

Elders ought to be respected. Infact, everyone should be respected. Everyone is unique and great in their own way. THink how we'll feel if we don't get the respect we deserve. and then you'll automatically respect others!

obviously elders shud b respected… but the respect shud come from within…widout any force or pressure..

not only elders…. I feel every human being shud b given respect for whatever they are.…only then can u expect the same for urself….

i think anyone who deserves to be respected/who respects you should be respected... i believe if someone is not respectful to me then they shouldn't expect me to respect them either...

I agree, everyone should respect everyone .. it shouldn't just be the younger ppl respecting the elders .. if your not gunna respect me or treat me like crap you will NOT get any respect from me .. i have this tendency for being stubborn and rude .. which i'm really trying to change ... but some ppl just really tick me off
