Yeah, well, that was deliberate? Since you refer to book of the month as hot cake of the month? A bite would be a quote from a book (cake)? I don't know, it doesn't really make much sense otherwise!

Or we could just go with a general "Food for Thought"? 😃

I no longer use my fb account. At least, I haven't for a long, long time. So I thought it was kind of pointless. I am quite active here so I can be reached via PMs.

Hi everyone!
I've picked three books for book of the month section - And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie (Mystery), Deception Point by Dan Brown (Thriller) and Just One Day (Young Adult Romance). All three books are good, well-written.
Deception Point is Dan Browns most under-rated work, And Then There Were None is a mind blowing book from the Queen of mysteries,Just One Day is a lyrical beautiful story of coming of age, heartbreak, love andit is one heck of an emotional ride.

I'm posting the blurb of these three books below, please take a look at them and tell me which one I should go with.

Deception Point

When a new NASA satellite spots evidence of an astonishingly rare object buried deep in the Arctic ice, the floundering space agency proclaims a much-needed victory...a victory that has profound implications for U.S. space policy and the impending presidential election. With the Oval Office in the balance, the President dispatches White House Intelligence analyst Rachel Sexton to the Milne Ice Shelf to verify the authenticity of the find. Accompanied by a team of experts, including the charismatic academic Michael Tolland, Rachel uncovers the unthinkable: evidence of scientific trickery -- a bold deception that threatens to plunge the world into controversy.

But before Rachel can contact the President, she and Michael are attacked by a deadly team of assassins controlled by a mysterious power broker who will stop at nothing to hide the truth. Fleeing for their lives in an environment as desolate as it is lethal, their only hope for survival is to find out who is behind this masterful ploy. The truth, they will learn, is the most shocking deception of all.

-------------------------------------------

Just One Day

Allyson Healey's life is exactly like her suitcase"packed, planned, ordered. Then on the last day of her three-week post-graduation European tour, she meets Willem. A free-spirited, roving actor, Willem is everything she's not, and when he invites her to abandon her plans and come to Paris with him, Allyson says yes. This uncharacteristic decision leads to a day of risk and romance, liberation and intimacy: 24 hours that will transform Allyson's life.

A book about love, heartbreak, travel, identity, and the "accidents" of fate, Just One Day shows us how sometimes in order to get found, you first have to get lost. . . and how often the people we are seeking are much closer than we know.

----------------------------------------------

And Then There Were None

First, there were ten - a curious assortment of strangers summoned as weekend guests to a private island off the coast of Devon. Their host, an eccentric millionaire unknown to all of them, is nowhere to be found. All that the guests have in common is a wicked past they're unwilling to reveal - and a secret that will seal their fate. For each has been marked for murder. One by one they fall prey. Before the weekend is out, there will be none. And only the dead are above suspicion.

I find Deception Point the most interesting out of the options. It has got an interesting plot, by the way.

A question regarding quotes : Is it necessary and the quotes must be related to books and reading? I mean can I pick up great quotes from books which might even if they are not about reading and books?
