Wow, Minkiš. Your article is totally different and important . Thanks for posting it.
But amongst the people of our own country, cheering for any particular team, other than our national team, doesn't and shouldn't be the sole criteria for alienating and branding a section of such people as anti-national!
Thanks for the appreciation SeethašOur nation requires tolerant and broad minded people who can understand the feeling of others and maintain secularism not only in thought but in deed too. šOriginally posted by: SEETHA.K
@ Hemangi---A very well written post !
A very good point raised! Your post is written in an entirely sportsman-like spirit. It is applicable to any contest between any other two countries but as you rightly said " an India Pakistan match acquires the centre stage and draws the peak of emotional outburst".In both the countries cricket is treated as a religion' and unfortunately, people identify the goings on in the game as their personal losses or gains... sentiments are involved, not the spirit of the game and unfortunately it assumes political flavour !But amongst the people of our own country, cheering for any particular team, other than our national team, doesn't and shouldn't be the sole criteria for alienating and branding a section of such people as anti-national!
