[Quote=Kruts]Take two more (give 8 hrs between your previous intake and this one)...lie down and put a damp towel (preferably cold) on your forehead...turn the AC off...and stay in a dark room...with no audio (talking, TV, radio, phone, etc.) distractions...and dont read or anything just lie down and concentrate on your breathing only...

after reading your statement i am even more certain its a migraine...it will take time to get better but thank god that you dont have the other more violent symptoms it can have!

Thank u Kruts .will follow ur advice.see, as i said i'm a lot more better (mentally) after talking to u peeps.

more on migraine...

Classic migraines start with a warning sign, called an aura. The aura often involves changes in the way you see. You may see flashing lights and colors. You may temporarily lose some of your vision, such as your side vision.

You may also feel a strange prickly or burning sensation, or have muscle weakness on one side of your body. You may have trouble communicating.

You may also feel depressed, irritable and restless.
Auras last about 15 to 30 minutes. Auras may occur before or after your head pain, and sometimes the pain and aura overlap, or the pain never occurs. The head pain of classic migraines may occur on one side of your head or on both sides.

Common migraines don't start with an aura. Common migraines may start more slowly than classic migraines, last longer and interfere more with daily activities.

The pain of common migraines may be on only one side of your head.

you need to be patient Rils...one of my friends recently learnt that she had migraine and it took her sumtime to adjust to it..

though like kruti said u are very lucky that u dont have the more violent symptoms..because my friend was constantly in tears during lectures due to the severity of her headache..

Like kruti said..it is good to repeat Paracetamol every 7-8 hours but do not go beyond 8 tablets in a day..coz paracetamol could lead to toxicity beyond that...

You could also use Aspirin or Ibuprofen.

[Quote=delilah]Rils please read this:-

A migraine headache is a severe pain felt on one, and sometimes, both sides of the head. The pain is mostly in the front around the temples or behind one eye or ear. Besides pain, you may have nausea and vomiting, and be very sensitive to light and sound. Migraine can occur any time of the day, though it often starts in the morning. The pain can last a few hours or up to one or two days.

We don't know what causes migraine headaches, but some things are more common in people who have them.

Headache triggers can vary from person to person. Most migraines are not caused by a single factor or event. Your response to triggers can also vary from headache to headache. Many women with migraine tend to have attacks brought on by:
•lack of food or sleep
•bright light or loud noise
•hormone changes during the menstrual cycle
•stress and anxiety
•weather changes
•chocolate, alcohol, or nicotine
•some foods and food additives, such as MSG or nitrates

POSSIBLE SYMPTOMS OF MIGRAINES

•Intense throbbing or dull aching pain on one side of your head or both sides.
•Nausea or vomiting
•Changes in how you see, including blurred vision or blind spots
•Being bothered by light, noise or odors
•Feeling tired and/or confused
•Stopped-up nose
•Feeling cold or sweaty
•Stiff or tender neck
•Light-headedness
•Tender scalp

though i dont know how much this is going to help you..this is the simplest on i could find from the migraine info that i have on my PC..

Thanks a lot Sara dear.

Thanks a lot Sara dear.

I suffer from severe migrane, best remedy I find is to take medication, change into loose clothing and lie down in a cool dark room with perhaps an ice pack(some ice put in a polythene bag) and wrapped in a tea towel onthe fore head for few minutes. Avoid caffeine and dairy products and chocolate and drink plenty of water. This usually works. Hope u feel better soon.😉

sammie...i meant medicines by saying drugs..it is the conventional use of the word 'drug' as something narcotic that confused you i guess...
