how is this possible?😲

and one more example
a = x [true for some a's and x's]
a+a = a+x
[add a to both sides]
2a = a+x
[a+a = 2a]
2a-2x = a+x-2x
[subtract 2x from both sides]
2(a-x) = a+x-2x
[2a-2x = 2(a-x)]
2(a-x) = a-x
[x-2x = -x]
2 = 1 [divide both sides by a-x]
do you guys think its a mistake?😛

for me math = 🤢
wowowo!

really tho, i think they are using the power of factoring and distribution division then -+ like numbers with the same variables to get the end result..😃

for the first one, the conclusion isn't correct. just because a + b = b, 2 does not equal 1 because you are assuming that a and b are equal to 1. if a and b equaled 3, then a + b would not equal b (3 + 3 does not equal 3).
for the second one:
2a-2x = a+x-2x
is
0 = 0
because, if a = x, no matter what number you plug into the equation, you will get 0 = 0.
just in case you didn't note that mistake, the other mistake is where it says:
2(a - x) = a - x
2 = 1
you are not dividing both sides by "a - x." you are dividing both sides by "(a - x)." it should have been:
2(a - x) = a - x
2a - 2x = a - x
a - 2x = -x
a = x
