MHRW was good but could have been great.

Hmm okay let's start ... Oh ... Before starting!

Note 1: warning walls of text ahead

Note 2: I stopped watching MHRW episodically after ideology track i.e when Pallavi was shot. So whatever I write is keeping in mind all the things before coz we know how it landslides, collapsed from there onwards.😊

MHRW was a good series coz of lead acting, the way of execution and the depth of the characters. While some characters make me feel connected, other I was able to understand untill they totally butchered those characters.

Pallavi and Shivangi:

• Seriously coz lack of backstory and obvious character flaws I feel less connected to pals but as a girl was able to understand her character.

• Pallavi was most underrated character which wasn't properly utilised to make that connection with tv audience. Instead of showing her character development and backstory all the attention was given to ML and neg characters which messed up with the storyline.

• I think Shivi is a great actress and it did injustice to her talent coz her role didn't get many layers or variations.

• She has subtle way of conveying emotions and only who can read those micro expressions could feel what she wanted to emote.

• She has a flair when she takes up challenge or planning something in this regard too we don't see her making many strategies or plans to overcome difficulties.

• What a great dancer! Shame it's ended without even a single best dance performance from her.

• Why she wasn't given any backstory? Why she was close to Deshmukh more than her bhai and bhabi? Why she treated em like wise?

• Who were her parents? It wasn't difficult to dedicate 10 min to disclose that now that show is ending!

• Pallavi Sawant a mystery girl! As some members say that she isn't a human she is an alien or robot who landed just at the time of her marriage in the Deshmukh house. Well may be it's true 🤔

• There were no palls monologues, what she feels, how she thinks. Mandar track which was supposed to be pall oriented but all I could see was Mandar- mandar saying tum mere ho, mandar talking with baba, aayi, mansi, mandar making plans alone and with Sunny. Narratively even Raghav was given more space.

Raghav and Sai Ketan Rao

• He was one of the characters I felt connected to
• The makers gave us thousand reasons to like him and feel connected to him and then threw it on us 😊
• Raghav Rao was made and presented as a flawed yet vulnerable character who people liked and felt connected more. Cashing on it, the whole show they made it all about him sidelining the FL
• Sai Ketan Rao had the Social Media presence and fan following. Ultimately most of the time it was only him who was promoting the show day in day out. No efforts from the team and channel.
• Forever Gutily- I feel personal grudge regarding this point coz once he was given the redemption it was refreshing to see a ML repent and redeem. But! It became the norm of the day. Once it was shown, it was rinse and repeat from thereon 😳
• While other characters were forgiven,forgotten for their dirty deeds. It was always RR who needed to be rebuked and redeemed at every given mistake.
• Sai Ketan Rao put his all efforts in making his character likeable but in the end it was all vain.

Okay this was about the leads, there are many other things which needed to be addressed.

I became the huge admirer of both Shivangi and Sai Ketan not only coz their acting also coz of their humble and level headed nature and charming personalities.

I hope future is great for them with much to explore and many opportunities to come.

I wish shivi gets to play a grey shaded character,she would nail it. She can play a role where her dancing skills are well exploited. I think she is very beautiful, like classically beautiful, so I wish to her as an Indian Princess or queen if they ever decide to make Padmavati again it needs to be Shivangi Khedkar.

I hope SKR gets more roles in the Telugu industry. He had this flair and ability to be a leading hero of Telugu cinema. I would like to listen to more Telugu from him, he is so good with his dialogues in telugu.

Also he can nail both emotional and action scenes so hoping to see him playing a negative role, cop, spy and things like that .

MHRW was good, could have become better & had potential to become iconic(dictionary meaning, not our producer's)as well but unfortunately it turned from being good to trashy to trashiest. These last 3 weeks will need some choicest of descriptive words!!

Loved your write up!! So much was there to explore & present. So much was there to avoid as well!! Better scripting & better choices would have made a whole world of difference.

There were many shortcomings apart from the leads' treatment of characters.

Everyone was whitewashed apart from Raghav coz it's only Raghav who is guilty ( he is most of the time)

What was sunny? Where did he come from? Why he was given so much importance? His screen space rivals Pallavi's even more than her 😳

Underutilized angles- what was the need for Amruth and Farhad? What happened to Pallavi's backstory which was sunny going to find out? Where did Ved go? Why did Ved go? 😭

Showing Pallavi as a successful businesswoman😈

Pallavi and Devyani? How did mandar saw Pallavi? Why he became so obsessed with her? How he killed Devyani? What happened between aayi and Mandar which lead to Mandar's accident?

Krishna Rao? My only interest in him Some speculation was there that he might be Pallavi's father ( although it was questionable but rather interesting)

Underused characters- Mandar: Ashok Phal Desai was brilliant, great he made me feel so terrified. Shame he was shown as a obsessed maniac instead of grey and layered character. I thought he will be total opposite of Raghav and will be ultimate reason for VD realisation and redemption. Also to show Pallavi deciding who she wanted to be with.

Farhad: FaRag was love. Many people became fan of the bromance they share. Ultimately he was reduced to nothing in the end. It's rare to see a healthy friendship both in the serials coz most of the time it's not given much imp. Even if they show any friendship between two guys or girls it's ruined by making a love triangle 😡. In this regard FaRag was a breath of fresh air and am glad that at the end it's not ruined.

Krishna : oh the sweetest, bright wonderful Krishna. Where did she go? She was such a support to Pall, always beside her in her turmoil times. Motivation, positivity comes from her mere presence. And am glad pall had that one Friendship without sabotaging till the end. We knew what happened with Keerthi and Mansi who claimed to be her friends in the beginning 😊

Ved: Fans most favourite villain character. He had this chemistry with Raghav of friends turned foe which you can tell just by seeing them talk or face off. His mind games and the way he used to address Raghav mere dost/ brother from other mother 😆. Where did he go all of a sudden 😭 sunny ko permanently screen pe chipka k chala gaya 😭

Nikhil: another fan favourite character with so much potential. His love, care, support for his sister is so pure and admirable.

It's disturbing how sulochna, sunny and VD can get free pass for all the things they had done. Whitewashed ✅

I thought pallavi and aayi were soulmates but it's questionable.

Communication: half of Raghav and Pallavi's problems would have solved if they had communicated properly. In this regard Hyderabad track was so good.

Raghav Pall's relationship started abrupt there were no signs that they are falling in love just a few fleeting glances and longing stares. There was no inner questioning or conflicts of thoughts.

Repetition of Raghav doing mistakes- being guilty- rectifying them 🥱

Lead chemistry was under utilised- they had such a strong fanbase ppl were begging everywhere (🤣)still no passion or romance was shown. They were so good that them merely in frame drive fan crazy . But makers were so buzzkill and ruthless.

Phew I'll end at this.

Enough of ranting .

This drama was one of the best things I have seen on ITV. I get bored easily but I was hooked till 200 epi says something about it. I don't watch anything on Indian TV. But this had me gushing and being a fan.

Let's say few good things 😉

The leads were everything . The chemistry, the passion, the emotions they portrayed clearly in love with that. ❤️

Cinematography was cool.

RR Mansion ❤️

Positive MIL - I am sooo glad that both the MIL were positive and didn't turned to neg ( grey)

Friendship- I will always cherish the friendship they showed. FaRag is ❤️. Krishna Pallavi were so sweet, positive and bubbly. Even I liked mansi- Pall and Keerthi-pall dynamics in the beginning.

Kaka: kaka is awesome. He is the true Father to Pallavi and is the rock and support to Raghav.

Cage scene- literally came to the show coz of that

Marriage scene- such a sad and serious marrige, so many emotions were portrayed.

Jo bhi baatein mere dil mein thi, you said it all. I loved Raghav and he was easily one of the most iconic MLs in history until every track started revolving around him and his repentance

And Pallu will always be a mystery girl. We never saw her struggles growing up an orphan, her dreams and aspirations, how she felt when Mandaar walked out on her wedding night and never returned. How she felt repressing her every desire while tending for the Deshmukhs. Also, exactly what happened that she got distanced from her own brother but got closer to them? There was SO much to show about Pallavi's life but they gave us absolutely nothing. Wo to Shivi ki acting ne izzat bacha li by showing her hidden pain through her eyes, and all those microexpressions 👏❤️ They could at least show her becoming empowered to open a business. Kya faayda hua in showing her run DSE and rise up to Raghav's 30 day challenge, if her only role was about cleaning other people's mess? Why not show her use those talents to open a dance academy of her own? Or her own saree shop/factory? Something that focused on her personal development in life.

Also VED 😭 He was such a great villain, I have never seen any antagonist in ITV giving such frenemy vibes with the lead ❤️😭 If only they utilised him properly instead of chipkaoing Sunny anywhere, this show could've become so interesting 🥺

And Sunny himself! I had so much hopes from him, he gave me all grey vibes and I was interested to see how his story goes with Keerti. And he was even starting to form a kinda sibling dynamic with Pallavi 😍 But it all went down the drain when one fine day he ekdum se became a misogynist and started demeaning girls That interesting dynamic with Pallu went for a toss and instead we got useless Tashan between them as his character got more and more annoying

Mandaar ki to baat hi nahi karte. I remember the entire FD being excited for this track, esp since they roped in the brilliant Ashok Phal to play the role. Everyone thought he'd be a grey layered character who'd pretend to be all sweet in front of Pallavi, make her feel guilty about choosing Raghav. We also thought we'd see a sherni Pallavi making it clear that she couldn't be emotionally blackmailed into making a choice, that the Deshmukhs had enough of her kindness, and that Raghav was the only one for her. We were also expecting subtle mind games and powerplay between Raghav and Mandaar as they tried to figure out each other.

But nahi. Mila kya? Psycho Mandaar, bechari Pallavi and a dumbed down Raghav who won't use his resources anymore

Keerti ki to na blackwashing samajh mein ayi, na whitewashing samajh mein ayi I just ignore her character, which is sad considering she was my favourite at one point 😪

Even Nikhil just vanished all of a sudden 🥺 Even when his dead brother came back, he didn't return 😲 Itna bhi kya kaam kar raha tha pata nahi Would've been better if they showed him dying off, maybe caught in a crossfire between Raghav and his don rivals. Pallu would get one more reason to hate Raghav and story thodi interesting rehti. Could've been a separation track too, Nikhil's death would've been a valid reason for separation. Baad mein they could've shown Krishna Rao being the man behind this, and Raghvi reuniting to take him down. Don Raghav going against his biggest rival and Pallavi Rao being his biggest emotional support ❤️

Ughhh... kya kya ho sakta tha 😭 Aur kya diya humko 😭 I will never forgive Sickand for this, he had no business raising our hopes and then crashing them like that 😭

You are so on point regarding mandar. Whole FD was in uproar! Mila kya as you said butchered character and it forever divided Fd into Raghav and Pallavi .

Nikhil and Ved too were not given anything worthwhile inspite of being fan fav. Instead of them sunny was thrown on our faces for how long? Till the end.

It looked liked they purposefully neglected all the things fans liked! So mean.

I have decided that this is my last ITV experience untill some series is over and I am safe of anticipation.

I heard that sunny is whitewashed completely like really! What is he? Why is he so special when our leads are butchered? He was a narcissist, opportunistic gold digger!

All I can say is that MHRW was because of SaiShi's hardwork and I hope really great things for them in future.

Sunny has been whitewashed to be whiter than snow white. A character like Sunny should have been booted out but instead he is playing spirit games to get Isha to confess. Helping Raghvi cleanses all his sins apparently!!Leads are former leads. Presently is its Isha shouldering the show. Its a train wreck now. Everyday I for the past 2 weeks especially when I watch the episode I feel this is the worst episode but the next day I am surprised another episode is even more worst!!
