You write beautifully, that too in a short span of time!! Your writing always has that smooth flow which keeps us glued. The verses/poems are so apt, did you write them yourself? I love poems, freeverse.

Hehehe... thanks a lot for reading. I love poetry and writing it as well. Though unfortunately I cannot take credit for these two verses.. they are taken from one of my favorite poets.

Im glad though you liked it. 😁😁😁

Makes the two of us!! Poetry is the best form of expressing everything that you cannot speak of otherwise...Who are your fav poets? I remember you mentioned them somewhere...

I was also thinking of a collaboration writing in the future, if you're up for it, since both of us love writing

Thank you for the tag! 🤗

This was beautifully written, as usual! 👏

I'm surprisingly not bothered by the sad ending, and I think that's because my biggest takeaway from this story is how you wrote about his gun as his lover. I mean... I honestly have no words to describe how I literally shivered as I read that part. Gave me advance level Harry Potter vibes (how the wand chooses the wizard and is loyal to its owner). ❤️

Your descriptive words and overall flow of the story is outstanding! I find myself re-reading time and again!

Yeah! Damn right! I'de love to collaborate with you. We have similar tastes as well, it seems. I love emotional and angtsy writing so do you. Poetry is a must.. a tad lyrical in the language. It'll be wonderful.

My fav poets are Faiz (he is the best urdu shayar), Ghalib (obviously), Rumi (i luv him), Tennyson, Keats, Kipling, Eliot, Shakespeare, Tagore, Wendy Coops... oh my god.. there are still many left.. phew.. 🥵🥵🥵

Thanks a lot hon! I had this weird imagination where Raghav talks to his gun as he cleans its nooks and crannies. The only trusted thing (woman - as we have feminised his gun ft Laila) in his life. It is an extension of his hand itself.

Heh! So it came from there. I'm glad you liked it despite the ending. 😅😁

Did you just take the literal meaning of the song 'Bandook Meri Laila' & personify it here😲

As usual, this was a really good piece. I understand how the scene could have been utilised to write a ballad version - I like the stanzas used🤗 - but there's a question that arises in my mind with the scene - By Shooting Himself isn't Raghav actually leaving Pallavi completely alone against Mandaar - She would be completely defenseless & I would like Raghav to not be an emotional fool rather shoot him from a lower angle.

But anyways, sorry for trying to inject the other version of my views.

Love the flow that you have in all your pieces & the line - He was jumping off the precipice of that fathomless abyss, ripping her soul away from the dead cage of her body to take with him😭 ....You could have made me cry, u know.

Thanks for the Tag❤️

I love angst too!!! We should plan one soon 😃

Oh wow!!! That's quite a list!! I also love some of the poems by Sant Kabir. He had this very simple, elegant but highly impactful way of talking about love, of course his was spiritual, but all love eventually becomes spiritual when it reaches the level of becoming one with God.

Yeah... it would be stupid. But I just wanted to play with their emotions at the moment. It came out in a flow. I tried to make Mandaar look as if he would definitely kill Pallavi if Raghav didn't shoot. No option left.

But logic doesn't work here as we have been painfully made aware of. 😂
