This function is celebrated on every Tuesday in the month of Shraavan

Suhaagans perform a pooja of Gauri ( Devi Paarvati) for a blissful married life.

This is to be done for first 5 years of marriage and then in the fifth year there is like pooja of completion (udyaapan of pooja).

Even though pooja is done by Suhaagans for first 5 years, everyone is invited like other married, unmarried ladies, girls, elder ladies from relatives, neighbors, etc.

Pooja is done in morning, and then there's lunch. In the evening there's aarati and then dinner. Then all the ladies (and nowadays sometimes gents too in some cases) gather around and sing songs, dance (remember pinga?), tell jokes etc. The whole night is to be spent like this ( like a jaagran). Then the next day everyone leaves for their home.

It is a Gujarati tradition. I loved dressing up when I was little during the vrat. Though I don't like the reason behind this vrat but I have very fond memories of them.

Yeah so what I described is by unmarried girls, they do it for a good husband. For the 5 days they have to eat food without salt and spices, eat only once and if when eating you get up, you can't eat again. Even the food that you are allowed to eat is restrictive, mainly fruits and roti. On the last day, no eating at all and no water. Then do jagraata till 6 am...

After getting married, celebrate the completion by inviting young girls over lunch, wash their feet etc. I've not gotten to this point yet 😆

With the CVs here I feel Raghav is getting Pallavi to remarry Mandar.. the episode will be completely drama filled with sad RaghaVi and all happy villains. Because Farhad said new twist. Only the people in photo would be sad rest all will be dancing...CVs ka nahi twist hoga...hope Raghav or Especially Pallavi stops this marriage dram with Mandar

No way no remarriage with Mandar

Pallu will hit Raghav with a wiper

I think that’s why it was so important for her to realize her love for him, so that if he even decides to do smth stupid like this she’ll be able to retaliate

but Raghav won’t let her go, from today’s episode we also know he’s in love with her and he wants to hear her say it

In fact I’ve been saying it since the beginning

Raghav Rao says he can’t fall in love because he’s scared of not being loved back

But it’s different with Pallavi and he’s just waiting for her assurance
