Widow romance track has the most chances of becoming a hit because in case of NBT and now MHRW it worked fine. But this two show become hit because the storyline for the both the shows were realistic and mature. People connected with the lead couples and that is why the show became a hit. Let's see how this show works out. This too seems like a mature love story.

I wonder how they intend to establish the love story. Kyunki as you said, storyline is important.

Yup! NBT is one of my all time favourite shows. MHRW has a few similarities to NBT (like you mentioned) which is probably why MHRW grew on me quickly. Remember Megha was trying to find answers and get justice for her dead husband and here too Pallavi was shown doing something similar. I prefer realism in the shows I watch with variable character graphs, good supporting cast and relatable characters. I enjoy slow burn romances and of course no OTT drama or "romantic" scenes.

Same but I haven't finished the last season of AOT since I had already read the manga.

NBT also I remember fans were confused out of their mind when Megha in her self confession confessed that she was in love with Mohan from the days of saving him from Rashmi. I was one of the very few who understood at that time that Megha was the one who fell in love first . She was already attracted to him because of his personality and no nonsense attitude . After Prateek episode I remember jiji bua asked her maybe mohan is in love with her that is why he helped her and the smile she gave in return was so heartwarming and the first sign she has fallen for him and the way she acted as his false wife to save him from Rashmi's taunt pro actively and just because she did not liked how Rashmi talked with Mohan . My grand mother said she can give all excuse she want but truth is she is in love and she also knows it. 😆

Best moments of the show. Megha was bold and subtle and here Pallavi is bold and expressive. Love FL who is bold and is sure about her desires. ❤️

The massive hit of MHRW proved a point that storyline is important for a show very much. Nobody expected MHRW to explode like this. Even I just started watching thinking of giving a try for a single episode and now I am obsessed with this show. I wake up daily at 6 am just for this show. Same happened with other fans also. I think after a long time any TV show had this kind of popularity where it trended multiple times from the start of its airing date. No show had this kind of craze for last 10 years since the crazy fandom wars era of IPKKND and NBT.

I guess the 7.30 PM show is inspired by the ML's previous show and maybe SP's creatives think that widow based stories is the in thing. Earlier it was EMA.

Yup that's what I was saying that the ML's new show seems more inspired by his previous show which aired 7 years ago (widow and single mother living with her in-laws, brooding ML haunted by family tragedy comes to live as their neighbour) than MHRW. So some things do seem similar to MHRW but other shows have done it before. Nothing new but what really matters is the execution.

Same. I watched the initial promo several times and went "the classic hate to love formula" with an abla naari FL and an AYM MCP ML. So, I was really shocked when RR was shown to be so fillial in that one episode where Pallavi cries on the bed.

Uske baad I watched all their VMs on YouTube and decided to give the show a go.

I think SAAK's and IMMJ2 is much huge and bigger than MHRW. Same goes for QH, Beyhadh, KRPKAB.

Shows like NBT and MHRW are more realistic. There is more subtlety so you have to read between the lines hence why viewers were confused about the revelations on Megha's feelings. Megha, like you said took initiatives like the Rashmi track just like Pallavi takes so much initiative with RR. Megha was subtle but a very strong FL. Tougher for her since she had been in love and lived with her hubby for like what 7 years? With Pallavi, it was easieer because she didn't spend time with Mandaar and neither was she in love with him. She didn't like RR but she got to be herself around him. RR gave her wings. For me it really depends on the show whether I prefer the FL falling first or the ML. With MHRW, whether Pallavi or RR fall first, it could be either but because Pallavi was always shown to be more expressive and open, her falling in love first just worked.

All the shows you mentioned had huge fan base but MHRW is an exception because the show today what it is because of the crazy fandom . The fandom literally promoted the show by trending it 3 to 4 times in a month. The show also had crazy fan following in gulf countries , Turkey, Russia and in Latin America also . NBT also had massive fan following in eastern europe, Australia and gulf countries . Not to mention in the Tamil heartlands. This type of craziness is rarely seen for an ITV show.

Megha accepted her love for Mohan . She literally cried her heart out when Mohan proposed her and then said it was acting. She so wanted to accept his love but was hurt when he backed off!! She stopped talking to Mohan not only because Mohan's mom forbid it but because Megha was hurt by Mohan's backtracking after proposal . She was angry. If that is not a sign you are in love then I don't know what is. Such simple and poignant scenes. Megha also in critical times chose Mohan over her kids and het family just like Pallavi chose Raghav over Deshmukhs. Such brilliantly written FL. ❤️
