Channel was not at all ready with a good show at 8pm. Saraswatichandra was planned for this slot but still had 3-4 months to get on floor. So they wanted to play around for a bit. Interestingly the PH had posted in their blog two months before all this happened that they have ran out of stroy and Arshi story has seen the end. SO there was to much pressure from channel to continue with the show. Eventually after too much hiding, two months after this incident exactly 2-3 days before Diwali, Sobti leaving in 10 days news was out.

They tried stopping Sobti, offered him a lot of money, made him say he is on a break and not leaving the show but nothing worked. Their whole UK trip of stars had people going crazy over Sobti, so much that other stars there also accepted it. Any other would come up, the fans shouted Sobti. They decided to get it off air then since the fan messages were going out of hand, many were outside the SP office crying SObti, No new man in Khushi's life, No new Arnav. And then they decided to end the show, but the climax was not ready. Infact they had got in Viraf Patel as the new man in Khushi's life and he had shot is entry in the fashion show and Sobti had shot is death sequence.

But they had to reshoot a happy ending since the channel called t quits overnight. SObti was not coming back as he had stayed back with his wife in UK, so they made the available team shot a climax and put Sobti's shots here and there,giving it some end. Also for the first time in history a Channel ran a disclaimer for the whole week that the show is being stopped because the lead decided to quit🤣🤣 The channel was blasted for that as well. 😆The channel had to air a show at 8pm slot, which was planned for a 6pm. 😆

IPK was the only show which disrupted Balika Vadhu from the first spot at 8pm slot when Balika was at its peak in Oct2011. It was among Top 5 , top 6 when the last TRP which was around October 2012 came. The next TRP came out for all the shows in around Feb-March 2013.

God...How did you keep track of all this info?? I was not even on IF so don't know anything about all these... Btw, why Barun left? After pulling this stunt, how he was offered IPk3 by same PH?

I wanted to reply earlier but mobile typing is hard 😆 now that you said yep it had competition in BV. I remember reading Arnav will die and viraf will enter as new man and ipk will continue I guess Sobti didn't want to continue. He's kinda like ksg in that manner. Fans lost their shit and they hastily ended it. My point was if a show is profitable enough channel will try hard to retain it right? For eg the top three show now, f rupali tomorrow wants to quit anupama they won't stop the show no matter the backlash. And I guess ipk protest was mostly overseas/online. Sp and Gul at that time felt like it's better to let it go and show quality went down too with the Arnab ka kid and mrs india

Ipk 3 wala is probably same like how ek brought back Harshad and rajiv for her shows.

Those days I think colors were minting money with BV and Lado shows. I never saw IPKKD way back then, a lot of Twitter fans don't even belong to India and there so many illegal sites where we watch shows from all over the world.

A decade back very good looking guys with talent also were handed to the audiences on a platter, for eg Shaheer, KSG, Barun, Gurmeet, Harshad, Vivian, Ashish Sharma, Mohit Raina. The fan girls had too much to pick and choose. However only those shows which had a trp base continued. The others had to shut shop.

As of now look at MHRW and SAAK, every alternate day it trends but their rival shows have better numbers , Udaariyan is 1.4, SSK 2 has 0.9, some doom dham in the latter and the trp will increase.

Haye so agree about good looking men/couple. Imo recently only Harshad Jen were one couple who were 🔥🔥🔥🔥rest are like show khatam out of mind. Nowadays no offense the actors are very basic, less so for women actors.

Colors does show with a social msg and cater to rural Audience and numbers are great. BV laado were good shows especially BV retained the goodness till the end. Sp is commercial, they bring shows back to back and the moment a show stops giving numbers they off air. Zee also works in similar fashion of Colors, their shows getting 0.6 gets promo meanwhile yhc always 2+ yet hardly got promo in last one yr.

Hahaha was a fan of the show , teenage and all you know and on twitter not on IF. Teenage and twitter bad combination, you seesmiley36 .IF I joined for this show and twitter is so negative now. I am newbie here you see. That show is still my guilty pleasure .Oh I am ashamed to admit it.

Well he was looking at the brighter perspective, opportunities . I dont think he had much to explore with his character. He was bored and tired. smiley37 I did not understand then, but I understand him since I myself am a very ambitious person in life and a professional

He has had good relationship with both channel and PH. He was also called along with others to shoot Ek Jashn. Infact he was also called in to be the narrator when IPK was being relaunched as rabba ve on SP, recently.

Well yes. As I mentioned Gul already had her four lions official blog site post a writeup, where just after Arnav Khushi marriage they mentioned they have no story to say anymore, the story is done. And she was anyway prepping for her next show with KSG i guess. SP was waiting for Saraswati .IN general they were not interested, but were not willing to let it go when it went off unplanned. Plus the whole disclaimer about ending the show because of an actor looked lame.

Anyway coming back to this show, I guess for this show 7 pm or 11 pm would work wonders, without much compromise in the story line.

Any of you hv any idea what's the online trp ?

I saw SSK2 has a good trp online.

I don't trust these sites and neither does online trp matter as much. Still wanted to know if anyone knows any reliable sources since everyone says they watch it online ?

Sites as is gossip tv and all posts week k highest shows also in HS they post like trending shows
