Chapter: 7 (The night)
After dinner Geet went to bed but she was finding it difficult to sleep as her sleep was lost in thoughts of the hotness, cuteness of her new bio sir. She was thinking how charming a man can be, not only he is very good looking but also he is very kind, friendly and helpful. It's only the first day of their meeting and she is already in deep thought on him. Why would not she be after all he has done things which made her think about him more. Within just one day he have helped her not once but twice; first from that cruel rude principal's terrible detention then from the continuous Q&A session of her parents. Though she knew Kulwant sir lied to them just to save her from that situation but even after all the lying she still can't believe that he have done all this. She was thinking why or how come he did these for her? He doesn't know her that well; they have only one relationship which is of student and teacher but why did he came forward and helped her in specific! Oh why wouldn't he be? He has done what he thought was best for her and this is the thought which she is loving to think over and over again.
He cares for you, Geet? (Geet thought). Nah, silly girl, you will never grow up kid; he did that just because you are his student and he thought he was in a way responsible for all those situations.
Geet ca not stops thinking while the night is passing. She remembers when they first struck on each other, without looking at his face; she felt the warmth of his body. When he was standing in front of her and asking her name in the class she didn't replied him back. Why Geet why? Geet cursed herself for being a noob in that situation when she could easily stand up and interacted with him like all other students. Geet remembers how she felt weak on her feet when she first laid her eyes on him.
Awww he is such a cute, handsome, dashing teacher I have ever seen, Geet thought. I never thought any teacher can be that beautiful like kul sir is.
After what he has done for her, her whole perception about teachers has changed. Now she has started to respect, like teachers in whole new way. When he gave her the ride in his sweet little car, she felt the beautiful smell of his cologne which he was wearing and the deep warm voice of his was sounded like a beautiful song during that whole nice rain. She now wants to hear his voice over and over again.
Geet thought, how can I listen to his voice now? Silly girl, you can't listen to the voice as he must be sleeping now.
Geet is still desperate, not only she wanted to listen to him but also she wanted to thank him for all his help. Then suddenly she remember he have given them a course outline paper where it has his mobile number. Geet heart jumped with happiness. She rushed to her phone and started to dial the number then before she could press the button any further she stopped and thought
Oh god you crazy girl, what are you doing? She thought.
Then again without further thinking she started to dial the number again.
Oh its ringing, it's ringing….
Kulwant picked up the phone.
Hello…hello…who is this? Kulwant said.
Geet is satisfied to hear his voice again then she wanted really hard to talk and thank him but she felt her voice has become frozen so before he could sense anything she disconnected the phone. Then she cursed herself for being such a stupid girl and for not replying then she made the call again but hey his phone is giving engage tone.
Damn you girl what have you done? She thought; you missed the chance to talk with him yet again. Nothing will happen to your life. Then she checked the clock and thought oh no, its still 1.00 am, you have yet another 8 hours before you can meet him.
Geet for the first time in her whole life thought; when will I attend the bio class, why is not this clock running faster?
Thinking all these by herself, she didn't realize when she went to sleep.
Kulwant's house
He is trying hard to make her eat something but she is refusing saying she is not hungry.
Why can you be not hungry? Said kulwant, its 1.30am at night and you have not eaten anything since the evening.
I am not hungry kul, please go and leave me alone
How can I leave you alone? Why are you punishing me like this?
Yes I know how painful it's getting for you, I am now praying to God so that he can take me away from this world ASAP
Stop it, Kul shouted, don't you dare talk this rubbish in front of me
Then kul left the room with a very angry mood. He went to the balcony and sat on a chair, looking up the sky he thought; why is god being so cruel to him? First he took away my father when I was so young and when I needed him the most. Then he took away my younger little sister in a car accident. Then god separated his first love from him when she betrayed him and run away with his best friend of the medical college.
Why god, why?? God I am so helpless and alone now, kul thought. Now she is my only hope for survival. I have everything; house, car, job, education, safer future career, everything but still I have nothing. I am so alone and needy right now.
As he was thinking all these, tears were coming from his eyes then wiping the tears up he thought he have to be brave and strong as he can't feel weak in front of his only existence now. Then he went back to the room and sat on a chair beside the bed on which an unconscious body is lying on it because of the heavy medicines that she consumed just now.
Kul thought; how can I live without you, mother?
