Pooja is just too weak to judge savory food unlike Ranveer or Vikas who at least comment on what is okay and what's not. I do wish she at least commented basically that "it's too salty" or "too spicy" or something for which she's being paid to do so.

Harry's seemed bit more relaxed when the electricity option came back. Kinda found watermelon liquid in rice combo weird so not sure exactly why Vikas was going gaga over it. Similar thing for the orange liquid in a rice as well.

A lot of platings were not impressive but it seems like taste of some of the dishes is good to so-so. I did like Harry and Rukhsar's conceptualization.

Kriti's plating is thoda OTT, IMO especially the salad.

Koshalya's plating is also bit overdone and I didn't like how she presented the khoba roti especially. It seems like the haldi veggie was bit undercooked.

Subojit- not an impressive plating. I agree with @Raina101, over just tasting one element. I don't see him surviving much long.

Nidhi's dish isn't impressive, man. Just Himachali food again and again and again. I don't get it. smiley29It's just a chikki layered cake with 1 sauce and some fruits that even an amateur can plate like. Uparse its too biased like openly giving the white apron before judging other dishes.

Kennie- Decent plating tbh. It felt comforting. But the presentation of the carrots wasn't impressive. Though it was funny seeing Ranveer's moppy face when Marco was explaining to Kennie about the usage of the crystal salt. Marco is a far better critique than Ranveer. smiley36

Sima- It seems like the taste wasn't good.

Suraj- The carrots' presentation wasn't nice. But I did like the watermelon gravy concept. Cool concept esp the egg puff.

Nambi- Presentation is nice. Seems more like a technical dish but I think the it could've been more better in terms of presentation.

PS. Dyson ad is super annoying but better than "BOSCHE, BOSCHE, BOSCHE..." smiley36

It felt like Prachi has some anxiety issues and over the past few challenges she has been continuously not doing well. She gets all excited about the concept of her dishes and then something goes downhill and she is in the bottom.

Maybe that’s the reason she felt it all too overwhelming and couldn’t stop her tears. Also she was very confident and excited about the lamb chops so it’s evident that she felt very weak when the plate broke.

Ashiqs dish looked very beautiful but maybe the chicken and prawns combo didn’t go well :(

Harrys watermelon rice idea is something I still can’t come in terms with. It’s a very weird combination tbh. But the way the judges went gagaga it must have tasted great.

So today Chef Ranveer challenged the contestants to copy his dish - seitan (made to look like steak), a potato and while chocolate purée, steamed tofu (to resemble an egg) and sautéed vegetables served with a sauce.

All contestants received the recipe and ingredients but Kaushalya was struggling because she hadn’t even heard of some ingredients. I’m sure there were some others as well who may not have heard of all ingredients, but Ranveer helped her.

Kenneth was all over the place while cooking. I guess he gets nervous very fast. Sima made a mistake with the steamed egg and had to start all over again, which meant she was lagging behind.

All others seemed to be fine during cooking.

Most of the comments during tasting were on the consistency of the sauce and the white chocolate and potato purée.

Rukhsaar had an ok ok dish and it was very evident from the judges comments. They were literally forcing themselves to comment positive on her dish. I mean she received praise for sautéing and seasoning her vegetable - and it didn’t seem genuine. You just had to hear their tone and see their faces. She would’ve still been saved over Sima and Kaushalya, they didn’t need to praise her for no reason.

Kenneth and Aashiq had great consistency of the sauce, in fact both their dishes received good comments mostly.

Shubhojit did pretty well too, Kritis dish looked lovely as well. Pooja’s comment on Kritis dish was that because she’s a baker it helped her and that’s why she piped her potato purée really well (Kaushalyas was fantastic too). Pooja pretty much only commented on peoples potato purée, probably because it had chocolate. She really knows zilch about savoury. Not a fair judge for those who don’t cook desserts that day.

Sima would’ve probably been saved if she had the steamed tofu egg on her plate. She had trouble removing it from the silicon mound and in the process it just came out bad, so she didn’t plate it. Her flavours mainly received positive feedback until the judges realized that they wanted to eliminate her and backtracked.

Kaushalya had problems with her sauce which was too watery, potato mash was too salty and vegetables undercooked. I think there was some negative feedback on the tofu egg also, but I don’t remember.

Kaushalya deserved to go today. I felt bad for Sima because her flavours were good but the dish was incomplete. Also, I feel like somewhere they were demotivating her all week. I can’t believe all her dishes were so bad, when she pretty much cooked food that she’s a master at. No experimentation.

I did like the idea of veg version of the steak & egg. But I felt the episode felt disconnecting in general. First of all was so irritated with the chocolate-cheese-potato puree prep as if its the heart of the dish or something.

Sima literally seemed disinterested in the competition overall like nobody cares or something. Kennie was all over the place. Kaushalya was lost too even though Ranveer helped her out though I felt something was off because other contestants were also oblivious to some of the ingredients especially the seitan steak. Pooja's really weak judge. I do like the concept of having a baker in the judging panel but the judge chosen was a bad one by the makers --- does Pooja not eat savory food at all in life?smiley5smiley36

Nidhi blabbering from the balcony was annoying when her amateur dish was itself a disaster but the judges and their favoritism-related hypocrisy is never-ending saga lol and even Prachi after sobbing alligator tears too. Clearly, the Aruna & Gurkirat in-making (anyone remember Gurki crying in the Abhu dhabhi challenge prior to the elimation round 😂 ?) lol.

I feel something was weird with Rukhsar for some reason like she was disconnecting as a contestant for some reason with the crying and all nonsense before the judges. Coming to the dish itself, potato puree wasn't the best & overall wasn't replicating the dish. It seemed like the taste was okay but needs further improvement.

Kriti did a decent job of replicating the dish.

Suraj- the sauce wasn't matching Ranveer's one. But okay-okay.

Mohammed- decent one but the potato puree presentation could've been better.

Subojit- presentation was overdone. Puree wasn't the best looking and the sauce felt like the dish turned into a soup more than glazed seitan steak. Lol, though saying, he "wasn't sure" about the ganache looking poor when he had time was openly lying. Taste seemed okay.

Kennie- potato puree was bad looking & sauce was bit darker in coloration in comparison to Ranveer's one though interesting.

Sima- dish was almost there but the mistake over the tofu-haldi egg killed it.

Koshalya- sauce killed her dish. Tofu egg wasn't properly decorated. Veggie looked plainly presented.

They did not want to send Kaushalya alone in Friday’s episode. So Sima was added to the bali ka bakra.

Ruksar could have given the immunity pin and skipped the challenge. May be she wanted to save herself from the upcoming team challenges. In the past team challenges were the ones which made people go into black apron challenges and give up immunity pin.

Not sure but they showed less and less clips of Sima & it seems like she herself was disinterested in the competition. Not sure of the actual reason.

The way they did this elimination round & the other round where 3 horrible dishes were chosen instead of 2 makes me think they already have their set of weak contestants that they want in the finale.

I mean, tbh I'm feeling bit disconnected with Rukhsar for some reason as she's humble but she's sticking more to Kashmiri roots & when she was looking stressed out or whatever in the last 30 seconds makes me think it's an act for some reason.

Using the immunity pin in the first episode would be silly, especially when she almost always gets good comments. The chances of not going for her were extremely high. Good decision in my opinion.

As for Sima and Kaushalya - Simas dish was incomplete while Kaushalyas was not good in terms of taste. Both worthy of elimination. If they had to choose one - I’m guessing it would’ve been Sima because Kaushalya atleast had a complete dish (judging by past seasons).
im happy that Kaushalya is gone

If Sima somehow managed to complete that tofu egg, I bet she would have been saved.
