Heyo folks! I know the show is ending so an intro thread is practically useless, and idk if such a thread is made, but still, here goes nothing.
What are your good and bad memories with food. Ik its a personal question and you can skip answering, but i would love to hear them.
My best memory has to be when I was about 10. My maasis are great cooks, but my mom learnt to cook post her marriage, so never got to experiment like them and learn more than the daily dishes. I couldn't wait for my maasis to drop in or invite us and then be pampered. My mom joined a cooking class (where they taught how to make fancy stuff) and one day, she brought home the chole (i am not a Punjabi, so chole is a fancy dish for our region) and that's when I realized that my mom is a splendid cook (ik, i sound like an ass, but I was only 10 then) I can eat her chole for weeks (not a good idea, don't eat stale food) but that memory is special to me because i used to sit next to her and help her with chole after that (it's my fav dish, so the only thing I can make besides tea is chole)
My bad memory has to be when i was about 20. My friend had a breakup and she wanted icecream, so we went to one of these fancy parlour (like our sponsor, Amul) and she wasnt picking anything because she had a rough day. So in pressure, I picked two different ice cream (my life hack is that if you are with someone you are close to, buy two different things and share them) and I am the kind of person whose range of ice cream is limited to vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and mango. So i buy the icecreams and it's pink (if you have tasted ice cream, you see where it's going) and my friend's was something in chocolate. I had ordered candy floss flavor for myself (i love candy floss) and it tasted like cough medicine. The ice cream was pricey and I am not the kind to splurge my allowance (i have no regrets wasting my sibling's money) so till today, I avoid that ice cream parlour, even though it was my mistake.
Drop down yours🙈
