The negativity is because she uses tears and emotions to save herself.

I honestly think less than 25% people have shown negativity towards Yasmin - of which I most certainly am one. Most people have shown negativity towards Devyani for choosing Yasmin as the weakest contender.

I meant the negativity after Devyani's exit.

Ill speak for myself and assume its probably true for many o those negative towards Yasmin.

I believe that she used her "needy-ness" to stay in the show.
Constantly citing financial woes, emotional sadness has somewhere influenced the judges decision.

And this came crime the judges mouth - of course not as explicitly.

The negativity is she used her sob story to stay while a truly talented contestant, atleast in my eyes had to leave

Not only from this post, this forum is full of posts which shows you like Yasmin and support her like anything...

Nothing wrong in that.. we all have our favourites and Yasmin is not a bad person just because she loves to cry.. so why not accept it??

Presenting yourself as neutral does not put any more weight on your argument!!

Should I say I'm honoured you went thru my posts?

Except for Navneet, I've never used any strong words for (or against) any contestant, & that too bcos he speaks arrogantly during the commentary. I only watch this show for the cooking & presentation ideas, but seems that everything happens except the mentioned two.

@ Bold - If you'd only bothered to read the next few lines after the underlined section, you'd have understood I was unhappy that Yasmin won. And I certainly don't need to put any weight in the my argument, as I wrote what I felt. I'm not trying to convert people, just trying for some positivity in the forum

She was left out and dragged in for nothing. I dnt regret supporting her at all for that particular episode and yet i say I m nt her fan. So darling, there is sumthing called going with the moment. It is not necessary to b a fan everytime to support someone.

PS- I m really sorry Rana, for i took the liberty and spoke on ur behalf too.

Thanks 🤗

@ Bold - Beautifully put 👏

Thoroughly agree with each point of yours. Actually Yasmin's tears irritate me a lot. And now she's started showing her claws. Quick learner, what say 😉 😆

Frankly - I think there is lot more negetivity in the forum towards Devyani than towards Yasmin, and it is not even a Devyani vs Yasmin battle... The other day most of the folks pounced on Devyani and singled her out for chosing Yasmin over Navneet and even the blame of other contestants not supporting Yasmin almost came on Devyani..

That day also I maintained that PH crafts all the drama and may have even asked all contestants to take sides of Devyani instead of Yasmin to create the Yasmin sympathy factor!
The problem that some of us have though is that Yasmin is playing equivalently in the drama - if the PH wants to capitalize on her sob story, she is letting them do it and playing to their script of repeating her single woman story in every opportunity (just like Shipra did, in fact even more than Shipra!) - That is a major put down for me at least!
And I still hold on to my view that contestants like her (and some more) and even some of the viewers are exactly playing on to the emotional script dictated by the PH! Very sad!

I feel most supported Yasmin when she needed support, she was alone when all here co-contestants favoured Devyani. This support was justifyable at that point in time, which clearly does not mean that the same kind of support should be given for sobbing forever. How long can one tolerate melodrama? Yes she has struggled and has personal problems and so have others too in some way or the other. Some advertise on national TV and some dont. Is there anyone here without personal problems/struggles of their own?Shipra was worse, sobbing forever until finals, inspite of being from a well to do family and having lot of moral and financial support from parents. Khoku on the other hand is the real struggler being less educated and without financial support.

Well put 👍🏼

That was not specifically directed towards you 😊 I read your other post on charity and do agree with how you analyzed the PH making a mockery of the WC round !

I wanted Khoku or Ripu to win this competition from the start. But when Khoku was eliminated for the second time (wrongly, I believe) and everyone turn against Yasmin, I want her to win now. This isn't because she cries a lot...Maybe SP is banking on her tears but you can't judge Yasmin by that. She is there because she deserves it..like everyone else and she is there for her kids. What is wrong in her constantly saying that she is there for her kids? Everyone in Masterchef has a story why can't she have one and tell it. Till the time Jehan was in the competition..judges..specially Chef Kunal kept showing a softer side to him. Was that fair?

Besides, Khoku..if anyone truly NEEDS this platform, in my opinion..it's Yasmin. Still even if Ripu wins, I'd be happy because he is really talented and he has no experience or training.

There is a sudden negativity towards Yasmin...I agree with you..and I don't understand it at all. When Devyani left, I understand that Doyal cried because she was her best friend there...but Besides Ripu, NO ONE congratulated or hugged Yasmin.

If people think that Yasmin is here because of her tears, they are wrong. I am an emotional person and if the whole world was agaisnt me, I'd cry too. I don't know what SP's stratergies are..but doubting Yasmin's talent because she cries is absurd. She was the first one to win Rs1 Lakh and flavor-e-aazam which which she was able to pay her kids tuition.

Yasmin and Ripu are the only two people according to me who deserve the masterchef title and I hope these two are in the finale.
