I kept wondering about the time too. They made 13 parts to this Falooda with all the ingredients from scratch and the rabdi which itself takes time as the milk has to boil quite a bit.
Given the amount of quantity they had to single handedly prepare I found the chef saying that they prepared this in just 2 hours a bit doubtful.
I agree with your comment that it feels like the show is scripted. Can we actually believe the elimination results? If taste is all that matters then why expect the participants to present the food in a presentable manner at all.
I also don't believe that Devyani could have faltered that much that she deserved the elimination.

They need to follow some ethics or atleast change the title of this show from Masterchef India. They are just using this very popular name to showcase a rubbish prgmme. Viewers who have watched masterchefs of other countries will feel very cheated after they watch this prgmme. So much drama they show and very little or no explanation abt their decision/judgement? Atleast they shd have some respect in front of the other contestants.

Of all the gudbad that has happened in MCI this time today was the biggest..I have always given judges benefit of doubt or "taste"

But i could not digest the fact today how come in half hour doyal made execellent and in large quantities rabdi ,mousse and in 5 mins the sugar melted ? Deyanis falooda what was wrong with it? why did they not explain it and why they made a big deal of doyals every layer tasted like made in heaven..Every chefs comment was to say doyals taste is better than devyani even if the layer is out of propotion..they didnot say why its better or why devyani's is not..

I feel a bit diappointed with star plus ,clearly shows they are messing up MCI with their need for drama..

Why they dont show all judges tasting all dish as they were only two people today why show flash back of doayals family like its a tv soap

Yes Agree completely.

Doyel's falooda looked awful especially Sanjeev Kapoor had to pour it out to taste it.
It is like a daily soap show.😒

There was another reason why Doyal's gudbud looked so gudbud which Devyani realised. Doyal was just throwing/splashing each layer into the glass carelessly. Devyani, who was lagging behind, (and looks more of a perfectionist) realised that the layers were lost due to this and that is why she was putting everything so carefully. Chefs did not comment on this as a factor as this would mean complimenting Devyani over Doyal and so thought up a technical reason but Devyani was so right.

Plus what sense of proportion? There was a recipe for different layers and they basically had to unload the entire result as different layers. So to me, that comment about 'out of proportion' looked invalid

My point exactly!!!..

If doyal can make a perfect dish in half the time than required for the entire dish..

then how can devi go wrong with just one ingredien t<faluda> in 30 minutes..

Seriously I'm sure it takes long to make rabdi, milk doesn't evaporate in a jiffy!
Mousse needs some time to set.
But then I'm not sure Doyel actually put all ingredients in it.

And she put almost 1 kg sugar to caramelize in the last 5 mins. At home, just 4-5 tbsp take almost 10 mins to melt, then caramelize.

Editing is shoddy, but the judges too have lost their credibility with this season.
