While watching the indian master chef, i saw some distinct changes which i wish become less.
  1. the camera ( entire shooting) is more focussed on the faces of the guests contestants ,judges rather than the action that they ( contstants)are doingone harldy gets to see the working of the contestants.
  2. alot of time is given to the contestants speaking ( with the master chef background, about what they were feeling rather than what made them do what they did, what technique they want to use etc).
  3. unlike other versions a lot of importance is given to the guest judges, they bring their own challenges, gimmiks rather than the actual task.
  4. the chefs even talk more of the sentiments rather than the food techniques, at least vikas thankgod doesnt. i get it they want to show human touch but everyone here has a sob story or has to do something for kids.parents etc.( very few who do it beocz of the passion of food)
  5. there seems to no importance to the plating / presentation contestants usally serve it in bowls.
  6. Also there seems to be no footage of the masterchef house, maybe a little insight of thar will be better ( if they speak about ther feelings there rather than in the kitchen)
  7. lack of innovation ( maybe too early, no interantional cusines/ deserts)
  8. Also why dont they show that after elimaination what are they doing maybe just a written line as they leave the house, its not live thats for sure.

if the production team decides to look at these suggesstions am sre the ratings will pick up.

very good points put forward...I especially detest the sob stories...I miss my children, I wanna gift a restaurant to my dad...blah blah...if I wanted to see tearjerkers I could just see any of the soaps on various channels...I wouldn't switch on my tv to see masterchef ...and please include some different cuisines in the show...all the time north indian food (punjabi, lucknowi etc) gets monotonus...especially since India is such a vast and varied country, why limit to only a certain demography??

Sadly the show is turning out to be a eye watering than a mouth watering! We need to focus on food and not on people's problems. There are enough melodramatic serials to deal with emotions!!!!

Good points!
1- Also, they show so little of the actual preparation of the food.
2- Half an hour is devoted to the tasting & that too only 1 judge is show tasting, very rarely they show 2 judges.
3- We don't always want to know the contestants' feelings while the tasting is going on. I mean, we know they are nervous!!!
4- Stop focusing on the North! (Punjab, Lucknow, Rajasthan) Other parts of India too watch the show. Cater to them too! Or is the target audience only the North Indians?

good going

though there is improvement.

Vikas Khanna brings a more professional feel to the show now as compared to Akshay kumar who was merely a cook
