last week, when the contestants were asked to judge each other and in the end,the judges refused to taste zebi and kandla's food..that was very unfair.

If they want contestants to decide why were the judges there?

Not only are we finding it unfair, even Kandlaji and Zebiji found it unfair. They knew that they were the "leftovers" and therefore they wouldn't be judged fairly. From what everyone's cooking looked like though, I felt that maybe their food would have turned out to be the best. The judges shouldn't have made the contestants decide. At that point Kandlaji and Zebiji would have been in the semi-finals, not in the elimination episode. 😭

This is a very common practice in reality shows. There have been episodes on Top Chef where the contestants rate each other, there have been Next Iron Chef episodes where the contestants rate each other. Contestants don't eliminate each other, but they put each other in the danger zone etc. The purpose exactly is to create the impassioned decisions and a sense of heightened drama.

It is not fair or unfair, such is the nature of the beast.

jaya deserve the win but in the way the radhika and jeobath was thrown out at the preference of pankaj by akshay kumar in his filmi style final its not surprising to see pankaj as winner and the job offer to jaya was to show that there is no partiality with pankaj although the jaya dish was not only inoovative but his paalk desert in finals were total new idea but it happens in shows like this
