In self defense, Uttara had hit Rishabh with a hockey stick repeatedly on his head. Critically injured Rishabh was rushed to the hospital while Uttara got support and comfort of her sister Devyani and brother-in-law Brahmanand. They took care of her injuries and her mental state. Still reeling from the misery of having hit her husband, Uttara has now received a bigger blow that Rishabh is dead.
In the upcoming episodes, Uttara's daughter will come to the hospital from her hostel. Uttara will be happy to see her but will also get worried about how her daughter will react to her father's death. To her disbelief, her daughter blames Uttara for Rishabh's death.
Talking about her feelings on the catastrophic events in her life Uttara aka Kamya Punjabi says, "I am in shock to say the least. I was worried about my daughter and am glad to see her with me. I hope she understands the scenario and doesn't blame me for what happened. I don't want to tell her the gory details of my life with Rishabh. I hope to find peace in life."
A source from the show informs us, "In the upcoming episodes, Uttara will admit to Devyani that she is relieved that Rishabh is dead. Now she won't have to worry or feel scared about what he would do next. She won't have to walk on egg shells around him or pander his ego. Uttara will tell Devyani that now she can live her life on her terms and not be answerable to anyone. Basically, Uttara hopes she gets happiness in life now. Brahmanand and Devyani will be with Uttara throughout her difficult times. Brahmanand will even get the police case against Uttara closed, which Priya will object to. When she questions the preferential treatment given to Uttara, Aditya and Devyani will tell Priya how abusive Risabh was as a husband. Priya will feel sorry for Uttara but will confront Brahmanand. She will tell him that he might be a hero for his family but for her, he will always be a liar and a criminal."
