well there is nothing wrong with being so I want him to be Gay but for Vidya sake I hope he isn't.

Gaurav being gay is a possibility. But then that would mean there is no hope for him and Vidya..which is why I don't think he is. It seems to me that he is involved with another girl and has been forced into marriage which is why he doesn't get close to Vidya.

Heyy it seems possible. Personally THAT would be something completely new on indian tv. we have seen too many of the forced marriages with the extra marital affair, already!
If he's gay, t would be something new to watch atleast!

sorry to differ with you, but rakt sambandh isn't about a husband who's gay. he's a eunuch, which is a different issue altogether. in my opinion, rakt sambandh has sensationalized what is basically a sensitive issue; but this is not the right forum to discuss it.

as for gaurav in maryada, his being gay is indicated as a strong possibility, becoz as sum1 has pointed out, his family is quite open to love marriages. in view of his grandfather's remarks [which vidya overheard] there is a major obstacle in the path of their married life.

Now it is very much obvious that Gaurav is Gay. See what he says to his Mom when her plan to put them in a honeymoon suite gets exposed.
"Haan to ussi ki khushi ke baare me sochiyo.. kabhi ye mat sochiyo ke thaare bete ko kaa PASAND hain or kaa NA-PASAND hain". (15th Nov)

See the word PASAND & NA-PASAND

Again see what Bawuji says to Gaurav's Mom: "thaari vidya ko thaara gaurav wo KHUSHI de sakega kya?".

See this question comes in following cases: He is either Gay, or Asexual, Or He is impotent, Or He is having some sexual disfunction. If he is impotent or with Disfunction then he at least wouldnt have stayed away from sex, bcoz an impotent person also have sexual desires. If he was asexual then he wont have that phone buddy. So only possibility is: He is Gay

Even I am starting to believe that Gaurav is gay. Main reason is that he is far too secretive, esp. when he is talking on the phone. And he is often worried as well. It's like he wants to reveal something but is unable to do so. And for some reason, I don't think the other person in his life is a woman. Having said that, this would mean that Vidhya and Gaurav have no chance...so I feel bad for her.

I think he is gay and there was also that convo with him and Adi where Adi was teasing that Gaurav is his inspiration re girls as all the guys stayed away from him in college 🤣 and Gaurav's reaction there made me feel sure he was gay. Also when Dadaji asked if he could give Vidya a married woman's happiness there seemed to be an acknowledgement of that to me.

After watching the precap I am quite surprized too.. that such a scenario is dealt with in the serial.DJ's have always brought up an aspect of it (in the form of some character or another) in most of their previous shows...a full-fledged role of gaurav and the complications that come along with it is indeed a bold initiative...it would be interesting to watch I guess and quite realistic too.
