Of course he is gay, the way he detest marrige is proof

plus i remember some dialogue like "you use to be always surrounded by girls" in one of the episode at which his reaction become sarcastic

instead of negative if the jodi turns out like that in film " fashion" in which husband ,wife had mutual understanding of each other sexuality Then story may turn better.

Also gaurav may not be completly homosexual but bisexual . But whatever be his prefrence , it seems his mother & probably his father are aware of it & hence are intimidating to him
