A bit about the iconic and popular Doordarshan TV show Lifeline.

Lifeline was created by Vijaya Mehta for UTV after DD had asked UTV to produce such a show.

I was under impression that there was only one season of Lifeline but Mehta writes there were two seasons. The first season which she directed had 22 episodes. This season became hugely popular so DD ordered another season. When Screwvala asked her to do second season Vijaya Mehta refused to direct the show saying that whatever stories she wanted to tell about medical profession, she had already told in the first season. So Pratima Kulkarni, Mehta's assistant directed the second season of 13 episodes but Mehta helped her in different capacities.

That means there are two seasons of 35 episodes of Lifeline. I had completely forgotten this.
