Dial 100 movie review:-

Despite having a bunch of talents, director Rensil D'Silva serves you revenge gone stale. For all those looking for engaging narrative and interesting twists in this film, dial D for disappointment!

2.5 stars out of 5 to Manoj Bajpayee-Neena Gupta starrer Dial 100.

I was browsing through some episodes of City of Dreams2. Thought it was usual webseries masala - Politics, murders, sex, gundagiri, family drama, emotions, usual twists, sub-plots, too many characters, in the lines of so many other webserials earlier we have seen from rangbaaz,sacred games to mirzapur, undekhi, maharani and so on...almost every character is a villain.

Only thing is there are lot many Marathi actors sachin, priya bapat, atul k, sandeep k and others. Priya has certainly performed a role of her lifetime.

I can understand about vulgarity.This is going on in all the webseries right now, someone has to stop this.

but what more can you expect from a political drama? Not holding elections?

And most importantly, family drama, usual twists, sub plot, it will appear in every webseries,movie and short film. These are the components of it, it has never changed or will never change. And we left that villain far behind, this is a game of their nature(I'm talking about only COD)

everything is usual until all team not gives his best. Kudos to city of dream teams. They made it possible.

@rhrishi - Coming to your point that all the ingradients of webseries are unavoidable - I am also saying the same thing. I don't see anything new. Sex scenes tar aksharshah ghusadlele aahet. But that kind of eroticism wasn't required. that particular app is ill-famous for cheap erotica kind of webseries. They have so many of them which can put altbalaji to shame. So somewhere the interference comes from the producers - irrespective of demands of the story they just insert them making overall impact like any other webseries.

Actors are Marathi but they are not producers or publishers. The director nagesh kukunoor is hyderabadi who gave some good hindi films too. I don't know why they did not advertise properly for COD2 the way they (Times group who are the owners of MXP) advertised for Samantar2. There are big posters on display still there for Samantar2 in Mumbai, Thane, pune. and may be some other major cities. There used to be articles and interviews in TOI papers also for Samantar2. So why not COD2 ? god knows.

मला नाही वाटत तुम्ही पूर्ण वेबसिरीज पाहिली आहे 😅. मोजून एक सीन सोडला तर एक पण तसला सिन घुसडला गेला नाहीये ( अती दाखल ह्यावर मी पहिल्यापासूनच ठाम आहे ) आणि मिर्झापूर सारखे नोकर - मालकिन अस फालतूपणा नाही केलेला, कॅरेक्टर ला पूर्णपणे न्याय दिलेला आहे.

प्रमोशन, मार्केटिंग , media strategist.... महत्त्वाचे म्हणजे ओरीजिनल सीरिज चे मार्केटिंग स्वतः ott अॅप कडे असते(झालेल्या डील नुसार) . पेपरमधील जहिरात आणि शहरातील पोस्टर ने काहीही मॅटर करत नाही. आणि चित्रपटातील कलाकार हे स्वतः च एक त्या चित्रपटाचे महत्त्वाचे मार्केटींग सोर्स असतात. Shrikant Bashir, Apharan, codename: gondya ala re इत्यादी असल्या वेबसिरीज marketing campaign पहा, पण ह्या वेबसिरीज त्या प्रमाणात hype नाही बनवू शकल्या. अलिकडेच एक TVF आणि Sony Liv यांची एक मराठी वेबसिरीज चा ट्रेलर आला campaign अजून चालू आहे पण त्या प्रमाणात response मिळत नाहीये
