Vikrant didn't say prem was tyag, he said there are other things in life more important. Then he mentioned tyag for those who are important or something with this meaning, Vikrant ALWAYS equates love and trust. For him there can be no love without trust, so maybe someone confessed to loving him but didn't trust him when it came to the crunch.
About coming clean with Isha, she hasn't asked him a single personal question. Apart from her slambook where it was all about knowing him as a person at very simple young level.
When Vikrant hasn't even admitted to her face he loves her how can he just share his past with her. There could be so many issues about it - it is not just his secrets but Saranjames too - she might be too young or their relationship too new to tell all to her - he can open up as they become more close - real confessions about his life will come as they become more intimate certainly only after marriage as then he will know she is by his side for life.
I think Jalinder is just a small part of his life.
Why he lets Zende manipulate and control him so much? I think it is to do with trust, maybe Zende has done something nasty without Vikrant being aware of it but Zende has saved his life and probably only one who stood by him then. Such bonds are hard to shake but surely Vikrant should know what Zende is capable of and keep Isha away and safe for Zende also.
