Back to forums after a long break ! Hope you all had a great Diwali !

Current track is really good.
Shiv blaming himself for the house fiasco, is a good turn. He is not directly responsible for it, though Shauri wedding is the root cause of Nisha taking disadvantage of the situation and selling the house. thats the reason he says' pehla pata hota toh shaadi hi nahi karte..'

Also Shiv and his family members( the positive ones, Babauji, Dadi , his sister) were seeing the wedding arrangements and the gifts being exchanged in the wedding, but that time, it never occurred to Shiv , about how the Sawants are managing everything. He very well knows the financial crunch Sawants face from time to time. He chose to ignore the expenses that time, so in a way its good now that he feels responsible for this fiasco.

CVs have good scope to make KDP very interesting with this track now.

what a relief to see Shiv in his T-shirts , and Shiv Venu together again like the good old times, their scenes were treat to watch. For a moment it felt like , Shauri are still to be married 😃

Gauri is back in her salwars suits, she looks good , but that mang mein sindoor and those layers of makeup can be toned down.
Shauri are in great form 👏 I am loving it

Tine he ch sagla bhogla asel adhi. 😳Ti barobar upyog karun ghetie tya traditions cha Gauri viruddha. Ti traditions cha madatine evdha dushta pana karu shaktie, doesn't this mean that our traditions are not good...😕 I am really getting surprised.

Mag asha weli new generation dur jatey parents pasun, just because they are sticking to old customs and traditions? Is this means, parents should not stick to their traditions... This forcing of traditions is getting Shiv away from family. 😒

Please explain me friends.

Traditions are good to follow, but IMO one should evolve them a little with time.
Amma is using traditions as a weapon against Shauri, which is an absolute wrong thing to do. What use are these traditions if they are going to drive your loved ones away from you.

Taali eka haatane vajat nahi mhantat, tasach aahe hey suddha. if only one generation keeps harping about traditions and it makes the next generation uncomfortable, it is bound to create a barrier. traditions changlya asatat tashyach kahi junaat, inapplicable / impractical in current times asu shaktat.

In the real society sense , if older generation wants the younger generation to follow traditions, they should talk to them about it, and reason them out. ( sometimes certain traditions are scientific bound too).

Being a young parent , I have started talking to my younger ones, about certain traditions and why we follow them. the X-generation need logical reasons to follow anything :)

Parents think they give a strong foundation of roots to their children, but its a fact that sometimes these solid roots, in form of traditions strangulate our children.

Thats exactly what Aamma is doing, trying to strangulate Shauri in the name of roots, She has given Shiv solid foundation of Roots and traditions, but she has failed to give her children the Wings to fly.

very very well explained.👍🏼

just one point - does these wings to fly mean breaking / not obliging to the roots?

By wings , I mean, freedom to pursue their dreams, and respect their choices. when you give them wings, that also means, they will fly back to their nest to refuel themselves with love and blessings from their parents , and will happily respect and follow the traditions which also makes their parents happy. Its a Win Win for both the sides.

Mai and Nana from JYRG were a perfect example of how to give their children roots and then wings to fly 😊

@Mrunmin, nicely put about traditions! JYRG, as you said, was a good example of a balanced family and where Nana used to explain the significance of such traditions in a easy to understand logic. If you remember, PAM was another serial which started promisingly with the same idea in mind. i.e. how to tread the middle path in the fight between an atheist and an orthodox family. Unfortunately that serial deteriorated into a full fledged kat karastan and went down the drain. But the idea was good that the middle path is the best and one has to keep evolving and not be rigid about any views on traditions.

I think Rishi's too should be toned down. In the Banares scenes especially the make up people go on a foundation slathering spree.
