Yes Kamal - i am seeing the improvement in Vasu. Now the actor is confident.

Reg maha-epi : i think they unnecessarily created the rift between 2 fathers for drama purpose. Why did urmi's father call Pant if he didn't want to take permission ?

Secondly the stand taken by Urmi's father not to tell surname is for the sake of opposition and drama to follow later. Need not show him also too much extreme thinking person when he is not.

Maha epi aired on the valentine's day - contained less romance and more of path-natya talim and agony of vasu's sister plus above drama.

@Red, This was really silly. As you said they wanted to create the friction between the two fathers so that the drama of getting Urmi and Vasu together would be extended.

@Blue, I am somehow getting the feel that Vidyadhar is being modeled on the atheist/rationalist Narendra Dabholkar. I really hope they do not introduce some antisocial elements etc. trying to get him. That will totally spoil my mood of this serial.

I agree with you. when the serial gets extended beyond a particular point - they can do anything to any character. So the possibility of making vidyadhar a narendra dabholkar can't be ruled out. But looking at Pant's character - it is not possible that even in villages such people exist today who insists no mobile allowed inside house or , girl cannot be educated etc...

At the same time, even if a person is atheist , he will not question a person who says "hari om" instead of hello and refuses to disclose surname. Of course as i said previously this is platform for the strong drama for the future.

I think today's episode was delayed by a day. It was more appropriate for Valentine day.
Urmi once again shines. Absolutely spontaneous. Doesn't look like she is acting from a script.
There seems to be a new angle introduced. The girl selected by Pant for Vasu calling Vasu to meet her urgently gives me an idea that she too is being forced into the alliance.
And immediately after watching this budding romance between these fresh faces we have to watch the matronly Laxmi being romanced by a fatherly hero of NSB. What a contrast! 🤢

True. I also quickly thought that the other girl is also reluctant and may be she has a boyfriend too. But that is too filmy and this typical-ness should be avoided by the writers. in HSM there was a similar situation in pintya's marriage but they didn't show that the opposite girl was hooked somewhere.

The other girl MUST have a boyfriend otherwise there is no escape for Vasu from that alliance. If the girl herself declares that she wants to break the alliance then Pant will sympathise with Vasu and probably allow the next alliance (of Urmi) to be considered. IMO that is the ONLY way that Urmi Vasu alliance can progress.

I think all the housemates of Vasu will unite with him to give him strong support for marriage with Urmi and seeing the strong opposition, Pant will have to agree reluctantly.

Thereafter clashes between modern & orthodox will keep happening. Going by the serial logic and speed - "navya sunbai ne premane gharatlya sarvanchi mane jinkali" ase na dakhavta jar sunbai v/s sasrebuwa ase clashes dakhavle tar kahitari vegale baghnyachi maja yeil ...

Mishkil, I don't think this serial will be different. If you see the title song it is more or less certain that "navya sunbai ne premane gharatlya sarvanchi mane jinkali" will be the theme of the serial. There may be clashes (lot of drama like we had between Vidyadhar and Pant on phone) but it will be quickly sorted out by the navi sunbai. I don't think ZM will take the risk of trying something new. They don't have many popular serials running and they have already taken the risk of "something different" with MPS. With D3 winding up, MPS and NSB not having picked up, it is not going to risk the important 8 pm slot with anything other than standard formula. I am ok with it as long as they don't try to unnecessarily spice it up with villains, vamps, politicians etc to stretch the story.

yes i know - it will continue to be pleasant one. They did take risk at the time of Lajja which was bold topic and not for family viewing at 8 pm slot. But this very atmosphere of PAM suggest it will be a family crowd pleaser. Sometimes i am reminded of old south indian movies made in hindi esp Dr. GO's character - bhadak ani atiranjit. (the way he was shouting at boys outside MATH).

Yes Dr. GO sometimes (to emphasize his orthodoxy) is acting a bit unreasonable.
Today's episode was a bit filmy. Already they are close friends, going on date to movie, he bringing her a bouquet and her father (in typical filmy style) tyala dhare'var ghetto. Looks like they want to wind up the romance part quickly and move to the "clash" part.
