@zoey : candle light dinner is the only thing which has happened once i think. But rest of yr suggestions are most welcome. Hope they read & follow it. Talking about chemistry, te sadhya nana-mai ani Babaji-aai hyanchi chemistry dakhavnyat jast guntale aahet. 😆
What a coincident @ITGirl.I too watched those episodes this morning.I think you and LM speak on behalf of forum most of the times.I don't think there is any problem with the dialogues and acting these days, what's lacking is chemistry between our fav duo.
Yesterday's episode was dedicated to BMW (Babaji,Mai,Walk) and of course there is Peti always for guest appearance.I guess this theme is for couple of weeks.
It is not a thing,CVs are not trying to show romance,They did roothna-manana, balm lagana, cooking, the dialogue "tuzi zop hot nahi" and holding hand in last epi.
But all these things are not working. They are not showing perfect chemistry, I suppose.
These are my suggestions for romantic notes, take a look.
1) As Wedding night or Suhaagraat was not as desired by Adi ,hence he plans for that. From costumes to decorations to dialogues everything is designed to create their first wedding night.
2) Candle light dinner, a formal proposal, dance on light music
3) Adi-Meg in Monsoon
4) Copy paste l'il moments from BW movies, 70's and 80's will work.Like hero asking for "mithai" before going to office, and accidental kiss, takkar or fall(on each other) due to naughty kids.
They can find many such romantic incidents that are suitable for family audience as well as showing perfect chemistry.

ELTG - was actually a very decent story... but I never saw much chemistry between the lead pair. It was quite bland. Umesh Kamat is a great actor though. My apologies in advance to ELTG lead pair fans!
RE: Chinmay Mandlekar coming up with a new script. That guy is brilliant. He can come up with twisted scripts and yet keep the audience's attention with his hard hitting acting. I recently saw his play Mr. and Mrs. in Mumbai. Mind-blowing acting by Chinmay! He is one actor who doesn't mind confronting the audience with grey character roles.
JYRG - One of the classic mistakes almost ALL script-writers make, (may be because they are pressurized by the channel to do so) is that they cannot sustain a romance. Just saying out the words "ILY" aloud is not sufficient. The body language must be equally reflective. Now that new emotional & physical closeness has set in Adi-Meg's life, the makers shouldn't waste an opportunity to showcase the real talent of these actors (LP, PM) by depicting small newly-wed moments. Adi-Meg have become a couple in true sense now. Rather than constantly hint at the impending problems that might creep up, they should focus on building their relationship. That is where most stories fail. They lose their luster as soon as the lead couple avow their love for each other & consummate their marriage. The channels too know this, which is they prolong the lead pair getting together as much as possible in the first place, and then when they get together, throw 12312918492384023 number of obstacles their way, whereby they have to test the strength of their love over and over and over and over (yawn) and did I forget to say, over again! In their haste to show "drama" and show "extraordinary lives" they speed up the little "ordinary" moments that are actually the essence of the show. I strongly believe in the strength of finite stories. Why can't they have finite stories which have a strong plotline and a strong conclusive finish, which leaves a lasting impression on the audiences' minds is beyond me! 😕
Very eloquently said, @LadyMcbeth. I haven't watched very many Marathi or Hindi soap operas, but I imagine what you describe must be the fate of romance on most daily dramas.
Re JYRG: The script-writers seem to have forgotten what made their show so popular in the first place. It was the chemistry and spark between Lalit and Prajakta that got me hooked on to JYRG. It's a pity that the writers don't want to capitalise on it and give us some "ordinary but cute" newly married couple moments. I really want to look inside the heads of these writers - to see what goes on there! 😳
What you say about finite stories is also so true. I remember watching 'Eka Lagnachi Dusri Goshta' a couple of years ago and liking it a fair bit. Yes, IMHO, ELDG is a touch overrated but at least its finiteness didn't let it suffer from any aftertaste issues! I am a big fan of seasonal dramas with limited episodes too - the writers get to regroup after every season and come back with stronger and better story-lines.

Some very good suggestions for creating romantic moments between AD-MD from @zoey123 here.👏 My suggestion? I am very easy to please. 😉 Let Aditya-Meghana be alone in a scene together and talk about ordinary mundane things. That's romantic enough for me. These two need to stop conversing about peti and Mai all the time. 😲 That'll be more than enough!
Sure they cannot give us romance all the time, but is it that difficult to strike a balance between drama and some newly-wed moments? 😡
Hurrah! Babaji apologised to Madhavi tai for calling her bugu bugu bugu. 👏 All is well that ends well. Please stand up and take a bow, forum members. I think our work here is done.
Aditya to Meghana in today's episode: "Tujhya munnat 24 taas toch (Adu Nagarkar baddal gharchyanna sangnyacha) vichar chalu aahey." Most newly married couples bask in the afterglow of post-coital bliss. Meghana wants to bask in the afterglow of post- Adu prakran-reveal bliss. 😲 Some chemical locha this!
