A few pages back, Zoey had commented that 'mANase badaltAt' to suggest that we should be more receptive to the M1 -> M2 mutation.

When we say 'mANase badaltAt', we always mean that their behaviour towards others has changed noticeably, NOT their base nature. E.g. the change in Meg - her friendship and love for AD was shown gradually (too slowly if you ask me) and consistently and so was accepted by all. Nobody expects sensible behaviour from Archu, so no one was surprised when she violated the privacy of M & A and exploded the peti-bomb.

But absolutely no one has accepted the M1 -> M2 mutation because Mai's base nature has changed by 180 deg (as an aside, the hyperbole 'x has changed by 360 deg' to mean that x has now become the exact opposite of what x was before is completely wrong - 360 deg forms a full circle and x is back to where x was before - changing by 180 deg means becoming the exact opposite).

M2 is the complete opposite of M1 and that's why it jars so much.

Amit's sense of hurt is easy to appreciate because he had detected the problems between M & A very early & had volunteered to help them resolve their problems. But both of them lied to him numerous times and said there were no problems. He is shown to be almost as sensible as Nana.

Vijaya has no strong opinions and generally sides with the majority. Satish is generally a good guy.

But one can't accept the Mai mutation as an example of 'mANase badaltAt'.

Congratulations to the wise & witty fans of the serial for completing 150 pages of *quality* comments!

Jokes apart. I wish Nana could have suggested AD to go out along with Meghna for few days... so that both parties can get some time to cool down and rethink all over again.

If they show us that AD go out two days for office work and during that time 'teen deviyan' force Meghna to go 'maheri' and ask her to keep quite if she want to see AD happy with them...then that will be a very 'gheesa peeta' way of separating the couple.

I suppose they should wrap up this track with happy ending so that they can celebrate 'shravan' mahina... where TRP is guaranteed.

Then we need to invent 'time machine' so that elapsed time can be reversed to the wedding first night Meghna confession.

Anyways..ahankar destroys everything and looking at M2...its not so far. Nana already tried to put some sense in M2 regarding this but seems M2 is not in mood to understand anything. I feel now its AD's turn to take some firm stand against M2 n Archu so that they can understand how they are hurting him to the core.

SW, I never supported Mai's after shock behaviour.I am ranting abt it since Maha episode.
When I have said Manse Badaltat I was responding to @Deepa's quote that "values are there or not".Because I think as ppl suddenly change their behaviour towards others at the same time they change their values too.
Mai's shock was expected but her current behaviour to torture Meg and behaving like typical mother in law is not.
