Part 3..
The sun's rays ushered in a fresh day. The crew had already begun preparing for the morning sequence.
Arhaan, a true professional, was on set and ready to go. He was analyzing the sequence with the director and getting a sense of Krishna's mindset for the shot. Meanwhile, Pooja was going over her lines; she had a reputation for never forgetting her lines, so she did everything she could to ensure it.
‘Krishna bahut gussey mein hoga, woh yaha ayega', the director said, pointing to a table in the room with glass bottles, and ‘gussey mein apne haath se saari glass bottles ko neechey push karedega, aisay'.
‘Pratigya aap Krishna ko rookengi by grasping his hands, and woh aapko halka sa push karenge, and you should move away from him, Ok?’ the director turned to ArJa, who had grasped the situation and were ready to go.
ArJa talked for a few minutes about the sequence before nodding to start rolling the cameras.
‘Light, camera, action!” echoed through the sets, signalling silence.
Krishna walked into the room with a swagger.
‘Nahi, babu, yeh nahi ho sakta, tum humse itni baari baat kaisay chupa sakti ho yaar’.
Pratigya blocked him and tried to grab his hands, saying,"Krishna, humari, baat sunno Krishna." Krishna thundered, "Nahi babu, humka kucho nahi sunna hai," and shoved Pratigya aside.
Pooja did not realize she needed to step away because ArJa was so engrossed in the shot; instead, feeling the strength of Krishna's roughness, Pratigya stumbled and fell to the ground.
‘Cut it!!' the director yelled. ‘Wonderful shot!’ He grinned as he said, ‘Good improvisation guys!!'
Pooja winced as the pain shot through her now-bleeding hand. She had accidentally placed her hand on one of the glass shards when she fell in the shot.
As soon as Arhaan saw Pooja's bleeding hand, his smile vanished. He gasped, 'Pooja,' as he took her hurt hand in his. He yelled through the crowded room, "Please get the first aid."
He apologized, saying, 'I'm sorry Pooja, did I push you too hard?' 'It's nothing, Arhaan, I'm fine,' Pooja said.
'No, you're not, look at your hand, yaar, it's a deep cut,'Arhaan said, losing patience and rushing over to the crew to get the first aid kit and run over to Pooja.
He gently reclaimed her hand in his and began aiding it. Pooja was surprised; she had always known him to be a gentleman, but she had never seen him lose his cool like this. She remembered previous set mishaps as well, but this was an unusual reaction from him.
Asish, who was passing by, saw this and approached them.‘Kya hua Pooja?' he inquired, concerned.
‘Nothing Ashis...', Arhaan responded to Asish before she could finish, ‘she hurt herself during the shot yaar, the gash is a little deep but I think the dressing should suffice,' he said while still holding Pooja's hand in his.
‘Does it hurt Pooja? Could you straighten your hand a little?' Arhaan asked, his gaze now fixed on Pooja. She gave him a reassuring look but couldn't say anything because she was surprised.
‘Do we need the help of a doctor?' Ashish was curious. 'I don't think so,' Arhaan replied confidently. 'I've got this.’
‘Ok, Arry, handle it with care!' Asish said, a playful grin on his face. ‘Take care, Pooja,' he said as he walked away from the two.
Arhaan's shyness overcame him, and he tried to avoid looking at Pooja by gazing away. ‘Ok Pooja, I hope the pain is better?' he eventually managed to say.
‘Thank you, Arhaan; it no longer hurts,' Pooja responded. She smiled and walked forward, thanking him for his prompt assistance.
Arhaan remained rooted to the ground for a brief moment. He was taken aback by his reaction. Arhaan, who was always calm and collected, never lost his cool. 'I hope you're not turning into a Krishna Singh Thakur yourself, Arhaan,' he said to himself.
