Part 10..
The month of May began with the addition of a new track to the show. 'The Leap Track,' a new love story featuring the same villains but new challenges for Krishna and Pratigya.
JaHaan were meeting with the costume department to discuss the wardrobes for Krishna and Pratigya. Krishna was expected to dress in shirts and coats, while Pratigya was expected to dress in jeans and long kurtas. After the meeting, JaHaan decided to grab some coffee and discuss their script and scenes.
At the coffee shop, JaHaan were engrossed in their scripts. 'A role reversal,' Arhaan said, breaking the silence. 'Krishna needs to change his demeanor; he will now be the silent one,' Arhaan said, looking at Pooja. 'Haan,' Pooja said, smirking, 'Pratigya will do the bubbly talk now.' I hope the audience enjoys this track; the cancer track received a lot of negative feedback on Instagram.'
Pooja's phone rang, so she excused herself to answer it, while Arhaan began noting Krishna's new style. When he took out his phone to use it, he noticed the date on the screen: '22 May 2021.' 'It's only 10 days until Pooja's birthday,' he thought. His attention had been drawn to planning a surprise for her when his mind wandered during work and interrogated him with an obvious "why so special?" He tried to reason, when his thoughts were interrupted by an excited Pooja entering the room.
'Naman and Toto are coming to visit,' she exclaimed as she frolicked. Arhaan's face softened as he saw her happiness; he adored her bubbliness. 'That's fantastic!' he exclaimed, 'When?,' he asked. 'Tomorrow, and I have a surprise for you,' Pooja replied.
'Surprise!' exclaimed Arhaan. 'You'll see,' she said with a smile.
JaHaan spent the majority of their day filming, and they spent a lot of time together. When they weren't shooting, they spent time with each other or their friends, Aalaika and Sachal. The crew and their friends were aware of JaHaan's growing closeness, but in order to respect JaHaan's privacy, no one broached the subject, as JaHaan were already good friends.
Pooja was overjoyed as a new day dawned in Silvassa; she was finally being visited by her family members. Her excitement had caused her to start her day early; she had called Naman to inquire about his whereabouts and to ensure that he had packed the surprise she had planned for Arhaan.
'Good morning,' Arhaan said cheerfully to Pooja in the lobby. 'Let's get some breakfast,' he said as he walked over to the dining area. 'No, wait,' Pooja said, startling him. Pooja decided to change the subject so as not to spoil Arhaan's surprise. 'Naman and Toto are on their way, and I just got an urgent call from Malika; could you please help me receive them?' she asked.
'Sure.'Arhaan shot back. 'Thank you,' she said as she exited, patting him on the back.
'That was a close call, Pooja,' she exclaimed as she dialed Naman's number to inform him that Arhaan would be receiving them and that she would be there shortly
'Hey what's up bro?' said Arhaan as he walked over to them. Toto was excited to see Arhaan and was waddling alongside Naman. Arhaan greeted them both and led them to the lobby, where Pooja was waiting for them.
Pooja took a video of Arhaan, Naman, and Toto approaching her. 'Who's a good boy,' she cooed at Toto as he trotted towards Pooja. 'Ai chaloo chaloo,' she guided Toto, and he followed her.
"Let's have breakfast," Pooja said after Naman had settled into Pooja's room.'Chalo,' Arhaan said as he turned to leave the room, only to be stopped by Pooja.
'Breakfast yaha hai,' she gestured to the balcony. She took his hand in hers and led him to the balcony, where fresh Dhoklas and other Gujrati snacks were lavishly laid out on a small table. 'Surprise!' she exclaimed.
'Wow!' 'You kept your word, these are your mother's specialties,' Arhaan exclaimed as he smiled at her. Pooja returned his smile, his delight warming her heart. She knew Arhaan's parents were back in their hometown, and she knew he would have missed his mom because he is very close to her, so she figured getting him some 'Mom made food' would help fill that void a little. He had told her that her mother's Dhoklas were the best he had ever had.
'Chalo khaate hai,' Naman said. He came with them to breakfast, and the three of them had a great time chatting, joking, and catching up on all the gossip.
Pooja glanced at her watch and said, 'My shoot call is in 10 minutes.' 'Arrey, he'll hang out with me until you get back Pooja,' Arhaan indicated. 'My shift starts late,' he explained.
'All right,' she said as she walked away. Arhaan approached her as she was about to leave the balcony and hugged her, thanking her for the breakfast. He explained that it satisfied his desire for home-cooked food. 'I know,' she laughed as she returned his hug.
Naman stood across the room, intrigued by the duo's dynamic, and observed them in silence. During breakfast, he was also observing their interactions, and the way Pooja planned the surprise and everything got him thinking. He liked Arhaan; he and his mother both thought Arhaan was a great person. He reasoned, however, that it was too soon to draw any conclusions, and he trusted his sister's choices, knowing that if she was in a relationship with Arhaan, she would tell them.
While Pooja was on set, Arhaan, Naman, and Toto spent some time together. They were in Pooja's room, and while Toto sat on Arhaan's lap, curled in his arms, they talked about sports and politics. They noticed a funny reaction from Toto when Arhaan lightly slapped his thigh in laughter at Naman's joke, which caused them to split even more.
Naman decided to capture the moment on video for Pooja. 'Do it again,' he asked Arhaan, holding the phone to record it. Arhaan tapped his thigh once more, and Toto's adorable reaction made Arhaan smile. 'Kuch nahi kuch nahi,' he reassured Toto, ruffling his fur.
Pooja returned after a two-hour shift, and Arhaan left because his shift was about to begin. Pooja and Naman spent some quality time catching up on each other's lives, and Naman couldn't help but notice how often Arhaan was mentioned in their conversation, as well as her smile when she mentioned him. He didn't want to say or do anything that would cause or direct her mind to reflect on their conversation because he knew his sister was astute enough to recognize if they were more than friends.
Later that evening, Naman and Toto were supposed to return home. JaHaan had dinner with Naman before saying their goodbyes. Pooja was disappointed because she wished she could have spent more time with her brother and Toto, but she was glad to have met them.
JaHaan returned to their respective rooms, where they lay on their beds, reflecting on the events of the day. Arhaan's heart was warmed by Pooja's surprise and the thought behind it, and Pooja was delighted with the way Arhaan had welcomed and entertained her brother and Toto as if they were family.

Part 11
JaHaan had completed a week of heavy hours of shooting. They had almost no free time because the track was fully focused on them. It had been a long week, with early starts and late late finish, and they were both looking forward to the few hours off on Saturday, May 26th.
Pooja had returned to her room on Friday night after a long day. She was engrossed in her phone, scrolling through text messages regarding Saturday activities in 'Buddies Chat.' She declined to attend the meeting because she had other plans. She wanted to spend the few hours she had to herself relaxing, reading, and shopping, but because of the bio-bubble restriction, she couldn't go to the stores she favored, so she resorted to online shopping this time.
An hour later, a message beeped in the group, and she knew it had to be Arhaan; grinning, she read it, and he, too, had opted out of the trip. She assumed he had similar plans and retired to her bed for the night.
The sun's rays penetrated Arhaan's room, signaling the beginning of a new day. He awoke, rubbing his eyes and walked to the balcony, where he stretched and took in the fresh air. Finally, it was his day off, and he intended to spend it by himself. Pooja's birthday was approaching, and he needed to get her a present as well as a Thank You gift, which he intended to give her before her birthday to express his gratitude for her heartfelt surprise for him. He was thinking about doing some online shopping to extend his wardrobe while also looking for possibilities for Pooja.
JaHaan were in their room, busy with their purchases. Pooja sat in her balcony, her legs stretched out and resting on the tiny table in front of her. Her laptop sat on her lap while she sipped her coffee and browsed the website. She had half her cart full and was choosing between two outfits when she unintentionally clicked on the 'Men' option on the site, which took her to a different section. She was on her way back to her page when she noticed a yellow hoodie jacket. She immediately remembered Arhaan, who she thought looked great in yellow. She carted it without hesitation. Size wasn't an issue because the measurements were known following the meeting with the dress department last week. While she was at it, she also added in a cool orange cap that she knew he'd like.
Arhaan had freshened up in the adjacent room and was listening to music on his pods. He sat on the bed with his laptop, sipping his coffee and browsing the website of his favorite clothing store. He, too, enjoyed in-store buying, but the current circumstances had forced him to resort to online shopping. He was on the lookout for shirts, t-shirts, sneakers, and apparel for Pooja. He'd made his choices quickly; he was unpretentious about fashion, and his style reflected that. His sneaker picks, on the other hand, necessitated some deliberation. He looked through the possibilities until he found a black unisex sneaker he liked. He took one for himself while considering whether to add one for Pooja, and eventually decided to include one for her as well, a blush growing across his face, but he had a justification, his mind reminded him, a "thank you" gift. He moved to the women's section to look at the selection, but the range of possibilities confused him; after approximately 20minutes of lingering in the various sections, he landed on a good t-shirt. He chose a bright yellow tee with colored stripes down the front. He took it since he thought she looked cute in it. 'This settles the return gift,' he exclaimed. Coming to Pooja’s birthday surprise, he considered planning a private gettogether with Aalaika and Sachal; he reasoned that he had a few more days to think about her birthday present.
JaHaan spent the rest of their free time reading. They were both voracious readers who had begun a novel jointly, which they discussed during their conversations. Arhaan was two chapters ahead of Pooja and had promised to break the suspense in a matter of hours if she didn't catch up, something Pooja was too distracted with. The rest of the day was spent filming; the track was enjoyable, and Krishna and Pratigya played the boss and secretary, respectively. This Krishna was calm and serious, more in line with Arhaan's attitude, and he relished the opportunity to portray a different shade of the character. Pooja, too, adored Pratigya's bubbly personality, which mirrored that of her own.
After packup ,Arhaan texted Aalaika and Sachal, inviting them to a late-night meeting todiscuss Pooja's birthday surprise. They chose Aalaika's room because it was ona separate floor and the three of them would not attract Pooja's attention ifthey met without her. Sachal and JaHaan occupied the same floor.
They got together in Aalaika's room to plan the surprise party. 'We have shoot the next day, and the crew has planned a surprise for her later, so we have to wish her at 12pm,' stated Aalaika. 'I can keep her in my room until late, guys, we're already watching a movie together, so she'll stay in my room, you guys can bring in the cake and everything,' Aalaika suggested. "Perfect,"Arhaan said. "What kind of cake?" Sachal was curious. "Pineapple cake," Arhaan and Aalaika remarked as they high fived each other at their bingo moment. Following the discussion, the trio decided to order pineapple and blackforest cake, which Pooja, the foodie, loved.
The next day passed by fast, JaHaan were busy shooting the office sequence. A sequence where Krishna gets an allergic reaction from Moghra in his office and chastises Pratigya for keeping it in his room. Arhaan was supposed to sneeze and scold Pooja at the same time, but the camera rolled when he wasn’t ready, and his reaction was hilarious. ‘You ok?’ Pooja asked. ‘I’m ready I’m taking the shot’, he retorted.
JaHaan received their parcels later that evening. Pooja thoroughly inspected to see if everything she'd bought, as well as Arhaan's gifts, had arrived. Her purchase satisfied her, and she loved the hoodie and cap. 'I hope he likes it,' she remarked as she wrapped it up neatly to give to him.
Arhaan, on the other hand, took the sneakers out of their box. 'Hmm, just like in the photos,' he nodded contentedly. He preferred in-store shopping over internet as the returns were unpleasant when the sizes were incorrect. He tried them on and walked around in them before concluding they were comfortable. He was relieved to have found a nice gift for Pooja, and the t-shirt he had chosen for her appealed to him as well. He appropriately wrapped them and wrote her a thank-you message.
Pooja was about to deliver Arhaan his gift when she began to wonder why she had ordered these items for him. She didn't buy the items for a special occasion; she simply thought he looked great in them, so she got them. Yes, he was a great friend, but they only exchanged gifts on special occasions like birthdays. ‘Well, we've become closer as friends. Besides, Arhaan didn't think twice about entertaining Naman while she was away, so why should I?' she reasoned.
Pooja checked her watch; it was 7 p.m., and she still had more than an hour until dinner. When she knocked on Arhaan's door, he smiled and welcomed her inside. "I've got something for you," they said together, beaming at each other's surprised expressions. They swapped gifts and expressed their gratitude to one another. 'See you at dinner,' Pooja said as she exited the room. She was pleased, eager to see what Arhaan had in store for her.
Arhaan coyly rubbed his neck as he stared at Pooja's present with a silly smile on his lips. He opened the package and was impressed by its contents. He adored the hoodie jacket and cap. As he tried on the hoodie, he recalled her compliment, ‘You look amazing in yellow,' and his smile didn't fade.
Pooja rushed inside her room, giddy with excitement. She placed the package on the bed and read the Thank you card inside; his words moved her. He was a man of few words, yet she always had the impression he had a way with them. Even his Instagram captions were always so appropriate and interesting. She unpacked the box and couldn't help but smile at the coincidence that they had both given each other yellow apparel. After putting on the clothing, she took a selfie. She looked cute. She appreciated the sneakers, and she recalled their earlier discussion and mutual love for sneakers. She was overjoyed with her gifts.
She grabbed her phone and quickly texted him a thank-you note. After a few minutes, a short response beeped, ‘Your most welcome! The hoodie and cap fit perfectly, and they are a great addition to my wardrobe,' she read his message. 'Great! Mine are perfect as well,' she responded, enclosing the text with a blue heart emoji.
