Bhai - behen not in the tv world

Hey guys

I couldnt help but wonder this... In real life i foten hear good friends who like each other, but dont want to be misunderstood, they use the sentence: "i really love you as a sister... oh you are like a brother to me..."

why dont they use the same in TV world... when sid and mamta were misunderstood, couldnt sid or mamta say that they are like a brother and a sister.. ok forget sid, but coudlnt mamta say that?? I mean, seriously, it happens in real life all the time... No misunderstandings all the time.. I have a few friends, who I trust and love sooo much, but honestly, they are like family.. and we have no issues understandng our relationships... then why did mamta and sid have that kinda issue????

please explain...
